   I mentioned this earlier. When I first arrived in Shinjuku 13 years ago, went out the second night I was there – it was the 20th of December – my friend, Sakurako-san, called me and asked me to meet her at Shinjuku station. I sent her a message saying look for a tall confused gaijin wearing a red scarf. She said meet me at the florist on the western side.
   I got there and I was totally lost. I sent a message to my friend and she said to wait wherever I was and she'd find me.
   While I waited there was music in the station – and Arcangelo Corelli's "Christmas Concerto" came on! I couldn't believe it! There were tears in my eyes and I thought to myself – "I am home". That was the moment I really fell in love with Tokyo and Japan.

   Straight after the Corelli concerto, the theme song for "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" came on – music by Mr Sakamoto Ryuichi and sung by David Sylvian. I put my sunglasses on, even thought it was 8 o'clock at night, to hide my tears – I felt very emotional!
   A very happy memory for me.

    Fun livestream Yuka it was really nice seeing all of the big Tower blocks in Shinjinku lots of stunning buildings I liked the Christmas trees that you walk by they were amazing
