[Music] so I’m out now this is um my first time out it’s kind of it’s it was drizzling earlier I think this might be easier was drizzling it still is there’s still like droplets but it’s my first day out I decided I had to go out regardless of the weather so walking down this street I’m heading to um Tokyo Sky Tree it opened at about 9:00 I wanted to get there much earlier but weather said no the next is Tokyo’s Sky trees and observation tower in Tokyo Japan it’s one of the tallest Towers in the world actually so I’m here at an observation Tower doing everything but observing why the [Music] weather it’s April this is supposed to be cherry blossom season but it seems it’s late this year anyway I will spend some time wandering around grab some lunch and then go home because my dad always tells me he who fights and runs away leaves to fight another day okay so I guess I need to have your word with my dad in the meantime I’m heading to Seno G one of Tokyo’s oldest religious buildings and the most visited temple in the whole of the country hopefully since it’s raining there won’t be so many people there it was at this moment that he knew he up uh okay maybe I can just hang around for a little while and see how I can enjoy enjoy it and make this I’m not doing this Mom no NOP no [Music] [Applause] no quick question what is something that is not illegal but feels like it I’ll go first going to Discount Store in Tokyo and seeing so many flavors of KitKat that you start to wonder is KitKat even aware that all these flavors exist oh well I won’t be here when they find out I’m off to my next city don’t want to be a one man woman got me stranded like a bone in the sand just the thought of not spreading my wings drives me crazy dressing up fixing my Str always prepared you never know who show up around the corner maybe it’s that director oh I can sing I can dance I can learn the SM moves I will do anything you ask me to do jump out on the stage getting locked up in a cage i l andou of Glamour want to impress me show me real more flower curtain roll p on my bed I’m your swe I was trying to reserve some ctfd and I couldn’t but I just came to the um the station and I bought the tickets here was the same price no queue no stress and the train is actually very empty at least this car is empty um I’m sitting at the back this is the all luggage compartment cuz I have loot so yeah um there’s a space here for your St this is the Loomi super Express found for Hakata we will be stopping at shinagawa Shin Yokohama nagya Kyoto oh I can sing I can dance I can learn to smoke mod I will do anything you ask me to do jump out on the stage lock hey guys good morning I I’ve actually lost track of morning nights because normally I shuffle between Toronto time like um like eastern suay time and African time and now I’m having to deal with that all of these and being in Japan dealing with the jet lag and everything it’s been a lot but anyway I’m making it through um so it’s my first day in Kyoto is also the very first day that based on predictions we might have really good weather so I’m hitting all of my top outdoor spots everywhere that I have to be outside for I’m going there today I’m not having breakfast I’m skipping it cuz um something has to give now no actually is something El to get so breakfast is going to have to chill so yeah let’s [Music] go if you look behind me you see that there is a queue people to take pictures there so I I don’t know that I’m I’ve moved past that stage of my life so yeah that’s the temple in the background so it’s pretty much why everybody wants I’m sorry s excuse to you have to pay $100 to the Frog fore spee [Music] so I don’t think Japan is the country you want to visit solo mostly because there’s so much to do everything is so fastpaced you also don’t want to be an inconvenience to the people who are walking cuz they are very like strict out here okay everybody walks on one side everybody keeps shots on public transport and all that stuff it would have been nice to have someone else you know take pictures and make videos and stuff um but I don’t have that so just going to make [Music] do I look so pretty um I had to come back to my hotel to just chill until 5:00 which is when I’m meeting with my photographer so I’m heading out now it’s 4:38 it’s a 15minute drive so I’m going to be early yay me um what else what else what else fit check well I don’t know that I need to do any feed check other than this one um this is my camera but I just ignore it but this is what the full kimono looks like lovely gorgeous love it um so so my Uber is 3 minutes away I’m just going to turn everything off say hi hi this is Mina and we’ve been taking photos all day I started this thing where I saved certain foods to try them for the first time in the country where they originated from so I had my first Taco in Mexico and I had my first aishe in Peru I looked forward to trying sushi for the first time in Japan so imagine my shock when I found out that Sushi actually originated from China oh well we’re here now so no turning back how are you [Music] feeling it just want [Music] to one [Music] okay TR this one okay this one the green okay so open [Music] should I try walk this it’s very tiny take more take [Music] more what yeah you did [Music] it don’t want to be a one man woman got me stranded like a boat in the sand just of my wings drives me crazy up fixing my always prepared you never you know who shows up around the corner maybe it’s that [Music] director hey people so um I’ve just checked out and I’m going waiting for my Uber I’m going back to the kimon rental store to drop off these bad boys over here um this is all the stuff that I wore yesterday um I might have to pay an extra fee for the late return but it was worth it cuz I took some really great pictures last night um my flight is at midnight 12:30 a.m. actually so I’m thinking of what to do I don’t know if I should leave Kyoto early and then do stuff in Tokyo or find stuff to do here in Kyo um I’m tired of visiting temples uh I I didn’t go to king king Kakui I think that’s how it’s called but yeah I didn’t go there but I’m still contemplating maybe I should I don’t know and anyway so I probably will go to Tokyo and just figure it out from there so I’ve locked my bag there my luggage there and the other one here my cognition is so terrible my God yeah I’m Wai for my over [Music] now my stay in Japan is coming to an end and honestly as someone who’s had Japan on my bucket list for so long I feel kind of let down the the bad weather aside in Tokyo the whole time it felt like the city was performing for me it didn’t feel as authentic as I had hoped I think it deserves a second chance though so I’ll be back but on my next trip I’ll probably come back with someone and explore other cities [Music] [Music] sadly Japan is currently facing over tourism and one of the ways we can help is by being responsible Travelers it’s such a rich country the culture the anime the food I guess that’s what happens when everyone listens to the Asian proverb that goes better to see something once then hear about it thousand times [Music] not sure why there’s so few people yeah it’s very very very SP anyway my flight is by 12:35 a.m. this is 930 it was past 9 actually so I’m just going to go check in didn’t check in online cuz I mean I pass actually they used to check my Visa and all of that so let me check it on online so I’m going to go then pick here wa so should be this [Music]
