#Terrace farms at the foot of Unzen Volcano of #Shimabara Peninsula
#Nagasaki prefecture has the second biggest production of #Potato in Japan, and able to harvest twice a year.
The soil around of #Tanabatake observatory is made from weathered andesite. When iron in soil rust, the soil becomes yellow. In Japanese terraces rice field cut into even the topmost area of gentle sloping hill,have excel lent drainage. These fields made in andesite soil are excellent for cultivation.
