Japan Travel: Hiking to Buddha – Kamakura Daibutsu Hiking Trail in Cherry Blossom Season

A few years ago during Cherry Blossom Season, I went hiking in Kamakura with a friend of mine. We took the path from Kita-Kamakura to the Daibutsu (Great Buddha) – the large bronze statue of Amida Buddha created in the mid-13th Century.

The trail takes an hour to two hours to walk but there are a number sites along the way worth stopping at especially the Zeniaraibenzaiten Shrine with its tunnel entrance.

Alo Japan.
