Takeno has one of Japan’s top 100 beaches! It’s only 10 minutes from Kinosaki Onsen on the train, making it an easy day trip to go to the seaside.

Takeno is a quiet town on the coast in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. It’s definitely off the beaten track! When I went, we were the only ones there and had the beach to ourselves. The video covers what there is to do in Takeno, including hiking trails along the Nekozaki peninsula, swimming, sea kayaking and cycling. It’s a beautiful beach, with soft sand and extremely clear water. Takeno is only 10 minutes from Kinosaki Onsen, so you can get there very easily for a morning or afternoon if you’re staying there at a ryokan for the hot spring baths. Kinosaki’s really easy to get to on a direct train from Osaka or Kyoto – I’d definitely recommend it!

The giant γγ€γ¬ sign , tourist location, like , is hilarious
What a beautiful place Amy π. Definitely worth the visit before heading back. Thank you so much for another beautiful video β€
I just came back from japan .
There so much too see π thank you Amy for this video would like to go here if I had a change to go back to japan
That was very relaxing. It reminded me of an unlisted YouTube video I found a few years ago. I used to work for a Japanese company in the UK and we had a sister facility in Iwate. This video shows the facility, but the calming vibe of Iwate definitely seeping in – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1y1cY3cYzA
Wonderful Japan video Amy & I love Japan. β€οΈ
I had exactly the same plan for next week! Funny πThanks for the great tips and ideas.
Wow, it looks beautifulɹ۩
missing japan so much and your videos bring me life!!
Thank you. Very pretty. And I really like the idea of there being a Nekozaki.
I love the rural areas, this town remind me of the first non mainstream anime I watched back in 2006 when the main character is walking to school with his classmates
Hey Amy, kind of repeat my question from last week!Β
Basically, how are tattoos on show on beaches these days in Japan, is it still frowned on and are you expected to cover up?
What a beautiful slice -of-life Japanese village. It looks very east to reach for someone wanting to avoid the crowds.
This part of Hyogo Prefecture seems so lonely and depressing to me but,… in Winter, the seafood is so good, especially the Winter Crab (matsubagani) … Takeno always reminds me of Dogashima ….
