so Fain and this is my amazing
girlfriend Laura and we’re about to fly
14 hours all the way to Japan for the
very first time but this trip to Japan
holds a much bigger Secret in December I
came up with this genius plan to propose
to my girlfriend in front of Mount
Fuji she has no idea there’s just one
thing Mount Fuji is notorious for
playing catch me if you can being able
to see her at this time of the year is
down to 20% and it’s only getting worse
by the day oh and by the way here’s the
ring but no looking you’re just going to
take this reaction of her mom singing
for the first time as a stamp of
approval our amazing journey to Japan
Starts
Now what is up travel Squad we are back
at it again back at it again today we’re
kind of doing something new something
that we’ve never done before but we’re
both excited cuz we both had this on our
Breck list oh yeah by the way we’re in
Atlanta airport right now we just landed
and we are very very sleepy cuz we had
to get up at 3:00 a.m. this morning but
today we are flying 14 hours to Tokyo
Japan which is a brand new country for
us and the longest flight that we’ve
ever been on I have never been more
excited to travel anywhere this has been
like my absolute dream destination for
since I can remember crazy thing about
it is we’re actually going to be there
for the cherry blossoms they were late
this year but we’re going to actually be
in prime time for them it literally kept
getting delayed and delayed and delayed
weeks and weeks until it was our week
and somehow we’re in prime time so I’m
excited to see that but first let’s go
see if our gate exists change of plans
we’re headed to the Sky Lounge no
McDonald’s for us welcome to the lounge
and be my guest wow thank you all right
you can go first and then I will follow
suit okay so this is what I’m bringing
with me to Tokyo my usual bag I have a
little disposable bag right here this
neck race pillow I can’t wait to show
you guys at the Pelican the switch and
of
course this right here while they had
quite the lovely selection today we got
biscuits and grapes
hash browns pork sausage jalapeno
cheddar egg bites and grits and these
are much larger plates than usual
they’re usually like half a size so not
bad not bad at
all and what did you grab pretty much
the same thing as you but they had a lot
of stuff in up there yeah more than I’m
used to to be honest with you it’s a
pretty nice selection of course I got to
get the GPS with the cheese oh yeah I
thought you were a sugar grits guy I am
but I just felt like cheese today just
want to talk about your your boarding
day outfit would you like to use it’s
Amazon it’s a little set what did you
say it looked like Fame a potato sock
yeah it’s my airport potato sack you
want to do a little turn there you go
boom you look comfortable though it’s so
comfy and I feel like I don’t look like
wearing like t-shirt and leggings you
know it’s like a little bit more like
put together yeah it matches with your
Air Force Ones and I think it was like
40 bucks for the whole set link it down
I’ll put it down below so people going
to ask about it I approve feels really
nice though yeah it’s like really great
quality and I can wear this as just like
a normal shirt too with like jeans so
maybe it’s because I’m not like the
coffee person or something or anything
like that I really don’t understand how
you’re going to drink some coffee and
get on a 14-hour flight I’m like I need
to go to the bathroom well we got like 2
hours of sleep last night well good luck
to you hopefully you don’t get affected
by it I’m too scared to drink it I guess
we got melatonin we’re on that for 14
hours I can stay up 7 hours and still
sleep another 7 hours things like this
cause other problems oh for the B yes I
didn’t hear the I don’t have that happen
to me too often but I’m very sorry if
that’s your experience I am good 1 hour
later here we go 14 hours in a tube
across the world I got to say as much as
I love to travel I’m having a little
anxiety same here I got little
butterflies and it’s not even like about
the flight itself it’s just the length
of it and then I cannot get off of it
for 14 hours this is another reason why
I like the Atlanta airport or at least
the international terminal at the
Atlanta airport because it’s usually
kind of empty it’s quiet our gate exist
E8 we haven’t been on a plane this type
of plane since what last February she’s
huge look at those Motors I mean look at
the turbines the motors I thought you
said
Hooters
to so we opted in for this long flight
to get into premium select Laur is
getting some gifts out we have for the
flight attendants cuz every time we fly
like long distances we learned this from
Cara and they that you should get
chocolates yeah got to have chocolate
for 14 hours we got all these amenities
but once we get settled in we’ll show
them to you guys I think we can do this
for 14 hours look how big these premium
select seats are like this is my hand
and that’s the monitor our last flight
didn’t have the monitors like this no no
this is like a good size little TV she
speaking Japanese this our first time I
ever hear in Japanese
I think I understand this thanks to
dualingo yeah what’ she
say you with
us good these seats are supposed to be
nicer and upgrade from like in between
Comfort class and first class like the
lay down lay class thing about it is
this is broken like that is what it’s
supposed to look like what everyone else
looks like it’s still compact although I
will say I do think the little footrest
thing makes a huge difference and having
just the two seats to us that’s true
that helps a lot so you can just annoy
me when you get up to go to the bathroom
instead of annoying someone else yeah
and then if I want to fall asleep I can
just
like you know right now he is handing
out some menus so we get meals while
we’re in flights yeah we get a light
bite midf flight snack and a pre-arrival
little breakfast thing if you guys want
to read the menu just pause the screen
and this is what we have to choose from
and then on the back it tells us how to
operate our seats I’m thinking about the
wild mushroom tortillini oh that sounds
good and then I’m excited for this
mid-flight snack of three cheese and
rosemary Pizza twists I wonder if we can
get more than
one I I think they like us we brought
some candy so maybe we can get more than
one would you like to do the Cara and
Nate special showing off our amenity kit
and what we got yes absolutely in more
detail so here we have our nice little
amenity kit is made in Mexico by Artisan
communities go ahead and open this back
up someone somewhere let’s see what we
got in
here we got toothbrush and toothpaste an
eye mask some
earplugs
ooh some socks and something that I
dropped and this is what she dropped
little bit of lip balm these are
actually really nice socks I like that
they’re ankle socks and not like the
super long ones I’ll be using these we
also received a very nice pair of
overthe ear headphones that you can plug
into your little movie theater and a
blanket and pillow with some slippers as
well we are all set for 13 hours and 20
minutes the pilot said so that’s a
little bit jez just this one engine it’s
like half the size of one of the other
planes we got the big boy no serious the
big boy how did you say a Gator Land big
boy what’s up big boy come over here big
yeah we have to be in the air for 13 and
1/2 hours how many times can Laura and
Fain say how long they’re going to be in
the air it’s just cuz we’re still in
shock of how cuz we we the longest we’ve
done is 8 hours and usually we only do
like a 2 to four so the fact that we’re
doing 14 is kind of nuts Honestly though
I cannot believe we’re about to head to
Tokyo and I had to talk you into it too
cuz she was like no we’re not doing that
too much I’m like let’s just go to Tokyo
this is going to be the best trip I hope
so I almost missed this we have a
remote for TV so we can control
it by doing that that’s pretty nice we
fancy now so there’s one thing I didn’t
know about this flight we’re in Atlanta
right you think that we’ll just go this
way or maybe go that way flight path is
actually straight directly that like up
through Alaska across and then Tokyo
right there that’s so weird I never
would have thought it would be you don’t
think about how like up North Tokyo is I
thought we had to go to like LA and then
fly across from La cuz on the map it
looks like it’s directly across La yeah
it looks like it’s just like that way
but no we have to go to Alaska and then
pretty much go around like over the top
returning onto the runway getting ready
to take off get this show on the road
and here we
go next up
Tokyo and we have lift off

around and gave us some hot towels
they’re hot they smell so good though oh
my
gosh and it’s already started and we
haven’t even made it to Nashville yet
here we go drinks are on the way and I
think meals are coming soon too where
you going to go for some reason I really
want to V orange juice I’m going to try
a whiskey
Ginger you need to stop trying to make
whiskey gingers happen cuz you never
drink them first we got some some cheese
biscuits and then I got a whiskey Ginger

think you like it I used to like it with
this class a ticket for Delta all the
drinks and stuff are included so we can
order whatever we want we can throw some
L’s and te’s around and it’s all free
what are you talking about and now he’s
handing out some meals and then Laura
and I both went for the pasta we have a
salad some souro FL bread some cream
puffs oil and vinegar maybe flayers
smells good this is the cutest thing
I’ve ever seen we didn’t get this type
of service on the last time we had this
flight right no I don’t remember it
being like on these nice trays or
anything like this silverware I feel
like last time we had like w didn’t wear
eim it’s really good this one’s for you
Deb it we have the our dinner right here
but dessert before dinner
right no rules I’m sorry Mom let me do a
little what you did it’s
past that’s what I was going to say like
I would eat this at home I wish I could
have this in my freezer home to heat up
in the microwave like this is like
genuinely so good I’m not even kidding
when you ready watch a movie I don’t
think you and I have ever done this so
we have ISS playing with ready one 2 3
go 3 hours later so it’s been a couple
hours and we are right above Canada we
still have like 10 hours to go so for
right now we about to try to take a nap
and do you want to show your special
pillow we got we got the these pillows I
ordered these pillows for us cuz I
thought they were good or I read that
they were good it basically is just like
a neck brace essentially like kind of
memory
thumb and you wrap it
around I also got one down here too and
then I also got one of these made of
beans it’s kind of like a this beads
memory F these
are I feel like it smells good I don’t
know if that’s just the apartment
they’re most are Amazon
on sorry I feel like I’m being CH TR and
we’ll put them in our star fret if we
end up liking them cuz this is the first
time we’re trying it cuz this one’s
supposed to help you like brace your
neck so you don’t like clean over or do
anything like that it feels kind of next
it’s like not the you so you don’t do
that it it’s braces your next Tak like
tough is the next day so we got our
final meal I got the chicken and rice
with some fruit some chocolate a spray L
what did you get I got the red pepper
fata it has potato spinach and
chicken sausage I can’t make it smells
delicious I haven’t tasted it yet
but another cool thing is they actually
gave us Chopsticks I’m proba going to
keep these CU these feel like good
quality Chopsticks it’s really good too
we’re almost there this is the Japan
airspace as well but we have like about
like an hour and a half left to
go we just look at us we’re in Tokyo and
International Airport I don’t know if
you guys can see that cuz I have a wi
lens on we made it in one piece your boy
has his compression socks on for that
long flight which make my my legs feel
better but Laura has some allergies
going on right now I think there was a
cat or dog or something cuz like I feel
like a cat sat on my face and I just
took my allergy pills too that sounds
like heaven for you no it’s really bad
right now I’ve seen this terminal and
this red carpet in so many videos I
cannot believe we’re actually here just
looking at all the signage and stuff is
in Japanese and English I don’t know I I
guess I’ve just seen so many videos I’m
feeling like I’m in the Atlanta airport
right now with this walk it’s a
beautiful airport though the official
Welcome to Tokyo here we go travel spree
finally out here I’m too nervous to
speak any Japanese a little late but hey
we’re here he’s running I know he’s like
guys are 2 hours late the flight was
delayed I heard about these things
they’re mainly for like the blind people
to know where they’re going and stuff so
they can lead them but they will tear up
your luggage well our first vending
machine side there will be plenty more
oh my gosh I have not sweated so much in
my life this place is amazing but it’s
also really warm and he was like running
to the car I still love it I’m still
having fun just wasn’t expecting this
honestly like I’m a little bit exhausted
my allergies are killing me but I’m
still like so happy would you say that
our first time traveling to Tokyo was a
disaster no Laur what does this say it
says pee in the toilet it says women
please get

wow our first tourist

Tower we’re almost there look how small
this elevator is it barely fits all our
luggage Hi how are you nice to meet you
all right we found our Airbnb but Lord
broke the first rule why are your shoes
on right now oh my god oh no no no no
there’s even a sign on the ground that
says take your shoes off I literally
told you before we got here to do that
oh oh didn’t even see the sign on the
ground she’s strictly prohibited
Americans I have to go to the bathroom
this is my first toilet that’s in
Japanese what do I do how do I open the
toilet did I just pull it up okay it
doesn’t open automatically then but look
at all these buttons for anyone that’s
traveled we have been awake for now 24
hours traveling 12 hour 14 hour flight
whatever it was actually I thought it
was going to be worse but it wasn’t that
bad like it was you just keep yourself
busy I think the key is flying during
the day instead of overnight cuz cuz
you’re up all day anyway so I think this
was actually better Laura has made the
common mistake she said I’m not going to
go to sleep I’m just going to lay down I
just need to be like fully horizontal I
feel like you’re setting yourself up for
a disaster I just need this I won’t let
you we’re going to go out as Laura takes
her little nap I just want to say to you

are I think they’re two twin we have an
air conditioner a small TV I believe
that’s a closet in
there yep that’s a closet I’m not sure
what this is I think this is like a
buzzer to buzz people oh maybe I can see
the camera right there then you come
over here total 180 there’s a table
there is disposable like bottle cans and
all the PE tea bottles and all that we
have a sink we have some table wear a
stove and then in here is the bathroom
so we have o a
shower it’s kind of like a dual shower I
guess bathtub shower W interesting
sink medicine cabinets with a hair dryer
and then the crem Del creme the bed is
like a special toilet if cleans your
butt and stuff like that I don’t know
what any of the these things are so this
says btox says stop this says bedet
there’s a turbo mode in the bottom left
massage nozzle there’s a massage there’s
a cleaning strength after clean position
toilet seat temperature there’s a
there’s a bun warmer in here Laura
there’s a big flow there’s a small flow
for the flushing wow this is fancy it’s
going to be an adventure using this
toilet make sure you push this one
that’s the fun one or this one that’s
these two are the fun ones I I think
I’ll start out just using it the regular
way and maybe throughout the week I’ll
progress up to that level or you can
jump in cold turkey and just get used to
it already but no that is our place it
is super tiny people they were saying
Tokyo apartments are small it’s really
small and they made it look so much
bigger in the picture but yeah we’ll see
how it goes I can literally see my whole
apartment if I stand right here this is
literally just for us to lay our heads
at night while we explore I’m excited
we’re in the heart of Tokyo yes that is
why we got this place because of the
location yo I got to use that BT wart I
think that’s the most excited I’ve seen
you all day it’s like going on and on
about this bedet Co I know it’s like if
I ever get a house built like a new
build I want a bedet toilet in my house
I’m really glad that you like having a
clean butt let’s go to 7-Eleven I want
to really go and get an egg sandwich

some Ramen there I don’t know have to

that push through the jet lag I feel
like we’ll be in good shape because
we’ll be really really tired around like
bedtime it’s 4:48 our time right now I
wanted to go to a bar like a night cap
but I don’t think I’m going to make it
maybe tomorrow yeah maybe tomorrow when
we do a little a night cap but we’ll see
who knows maybe we’ll get a burst of
energy walking through Shibu Square did
you realize that we are in the world’s
largest city is it yeah in the world
like it’s just straight up concrete
jungle time 10 it doesn’t feel like it I
mean I know we haven’t really been into
it yet but this feels a lot less insane
the New York City already yeah well we
haven’t gone to the tourist areas yet
but on our way to 7 lovely outside I
know it’s nice and cool I got my shorts
on I’m loving this I’m excited to start
seeing people staring at F’s blue hair I
think I see it gets on the corner right
there there she is in all her glory do
you see what’s across the street lower
is that a cherry blossom tree see that’s
what I love about Tokyo so far is just
like it’s a city but it still has like
Greenery you know I kind of want to go
see that first just that one cherry
blossom tree okay see if it’s real I
don’t know if it’s a plum tree or a Trey
Blossom but I think it’s real I think
they exist wow okay let’s go home just I
cross off something on my this yeah a
full bloom baby all right here we go you
can do the honor first you can walk in
are you nervous I’m overwhelmed there’s
just it’s a store so many things I want
to see and try and touch all right F I
think I found the perfect thing for you
what the Mellow pan oh I love
corn I literally love corn it say corn
and mayonnaise I say it’s corn and
mayonnaise I’ve seen these we are going
to come back here and try these later we
want to do some exploring first but I
finally got my first bit of Yen so let’s
go spend it yeah we will come back here
and grab plenty of this and do a haul
for you guys lur look at that oh I
missed it but they have the go-karts
going you possibly want to do something
like that do what the Mario Kart all the
Mario Karts yeah I honestly don’t think
I can handle it you don’t want to drive
in the streets of Tokyo and a
go-kart I don’t think I’m ready this is
a super photogenic street right here I
might want to take some photos of this
or something cool so I kind of let us
down this random road cuz a whole bunch
of people were coming down here and I
think my like intuition I guess my
American intuition let us this way
because what did you just point out to
me there’s a Taco Bell right there first
meal in Japan yo let’s get a Crunch Wrap
Supreme I’d be very curious to see like
what they offer though this is the menu
they offer it looks pretty similar look
at this crunch crispy chicken crunch
oh never seen that before maybe one
night after a few drinks no no let’s eat
authentic food please this looks just
like Time Square I got a a mega like a
mega Mar Don kyota over there wow look
they they got Billboards everywhere to
me this feels like a mini version of it
I know we’re not at like the main event
yet yeah
but this still feels like a million
times less scary than New York City
Laura it does exist I thought this Tokyo
was fake look at these look down this
Alleyways and stuff like that the
McDonald’s this is so strange I almost
feel like I’m in like a theme part in a
way it feels well weird in a very
touristy
area this is such a surreal feeling we
stopped at our first vending machine and
L’s going to get herself a drink you’re
going to get this one up here yeah not
quite sure what it is some kind of green
tea so do I just like just scan
it I
think there you go and then just push
the
button oh okay that’s really
nice first Japanese vending drink
vending machine drink it’s
unsweet we probably could use Google
Translate to see what it was about all
good I’m really thirsty so I think this
is an orange juice like a fresh orange
juice vending machine what that sounds
really good we’re at Theo scramble
Square we’re pretty much we like 3,000
people or so across at one time it was
in Tokyo Drift um Fast and Furious Tokyo
Drift
we’re about to go cross and see what
this is about you ready like you look so
amazed it feels like we’re lining up
getting ready for the football team to
like charge each other look at all the
people waiting to come across like it
feels like a battle or something you can
see everyone’s like recording with their
phones and
stuff but everyone comes from all
different
directions across the
street here we
go what do you think so far coming from
every direction but no one’s bumping
into each other I’m impressed we knocked
out the scramble we knocked out a
vending machine now let’s go get some
Ramen I feel like we’ve already seen so
much like it feels weird going to home
at like 4:00 5:00 but at the same time
like we’ve been up for so long we need
to sleep so we can have a good week it’s
literally 4:30 in the morning back home
we’ve been up for 24 hours we are going
to try our first Ramen experience at
iteron Ramen well that was kind of a
bust like all the ramen places and
restaurants are trying to get busy cuz
it’s around like dinner time right now
so we’re heading to another one closer
to Airbnb we’ll get it another night
we’re just kind of hungry right now we
just want to want Ramen just in general
now have some nudes and go to bed and go
to 7-Eleven okay nudes 7-Eleven bed
thank you we ended up finding another
Ramen Shop and so we’re just going to
eat here just get some basic Ramen we
can get some dumplings and all that and
let’s check it out each thing we order
gets its own ticket I guess cuz now
we’re getting a whole bunch of tickets I
think so oh we got five out of seven
tickets it is now printing we going to
facing the wall you can’t talk too loud
cuz it’s a quiet place but at least you
got your own picture of water I got my
picture water works for me this is our
first Tokyo dinner together Laura if you
can’t tell Laura is starting to get a
little little tired I’m just a little
hangry and exhausted because we’ve been
up for 24 hours so I think that’s
reasonable oh hey thank you cheers

Tokyo I got a spicy miso I think spicy
miso yeah and I just got the plain Misa
I’m actually surprised you got spicy see
how spicy it is and then I also got this
little side of like fried rice with
chicken on top it smells really good and
then all we got some dumplings yeah
those are nice
look at this jok and eggs like super
orange this spicy Ramen yeah this is
busting I’m going to try some of your
your spicy Ramen you know this place is
serious about the ramen when they offer
bibs like Laura has one of the bibs on
right now but also they offer hair bands
so if you want to put put your hair back
to eat the ramen they have it I got you
for our first Ramen experience in Japan
I am very happy oh my gosh I am so full
right
now you killed it though I would ask you
surprised cuz you’re not really Ramen
person I’m I’m really not a big Ramen
person but I think that’s the most I’ve
ever eaten of a bowl of ramen thank you
thank you we we have one more we have
one more Ramen place to go I want to try
iton oh I’ll definitely eat a lot more
Ramen while I’m here but that was that
was really your shirt is splatter
with drops of ramen I should have got

a totally different level in Japan than
it is in the states they have actual
like meals on meals on meals that are
good well we don’t know if it’s good yet
we will I heard is good I heard is good
I found something for you okay is that
what I think it is oh God it looks like
is that so you I don’t need that in my
life come on you’re the king of Soju you
love that stuff so we pretty much bought
the store we want to do a little haul
before we head off to bed and get a
fresh start for tomorrow so what do we
get Laura not going to lie I think you
picked out most of this don’t put me on
blast like that sorry T cream and onion
chips I also got some pizza chips egg
salad sandwich I got to actually try
that today what else is this this is a
pancake with Chestnut paste all right
this is one of mine it’s some like
gummies that are like grape flavored oh

she’s like I want to try them too so so
I got a beef and sweet soy sauce and
then vain got the tuna and mayonnaise
it’s going to be very confusing when you
open that up by the way cuz everyone
like the instructions are very confusing
to people and they’re like how do I open
this pull down all right we got some
water so that we can stock up while
we’re here B got this drink he’s been
wanting to try Pro Cari sweat it’s like
a sports drink I’ve been seeing a lot of
people drink it on like Tik Tok and I
Tred to look for a new vending machine
but I couldn’t find it so I found it at
7-Eleven it looks like um propell they
did give us Chopstick oh a melon pan
some sweet bread oh you got one of these
yeah I saw that I was like that looks
interesting what is it it’s chicken and
it’s fried chicken with sweetened
vinegar tartar sauce all right and then
and this was my drink that I chose I’m
not really sure what it is but it looks
like it tastes good I know you’re kind
of full and I’m full too but I’m going
to try this egg salad sandwich cuz
everyone talks about the 7 7-Eleven egg
salad sandwich when do your research it
better be freaking good the bread looks
really like light and fluffy it is
everyone says this changes people’s
lives I’m going be so let down here he
