Gokoku Jinja Shrine: Southern Japan must see place!

Gokoku Shrine in Fukuoka stands as a testament to modernity, a sacred homage to the Japanese souls lost in wars spanning from the inception of the Meiji era (1868) onward.

Beyond its distinctive resplendent golden hue adorning the shrine’s edifices, Gokoku is revered as a sanctuary for familial blessings and safeguarding. Notably, the shrine boasts a grandiose wooden torii gate that captures the essence of its uniqueness.
Around the highlight of summer, the festival is held each year from usually 8/13–8/16 starts usually around 15:00–21:00 night market and from 18:30–21:00 for the light show with food and other small and interesting items from toys and memorabilia to coffee cups that you can purchase.
