This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

  1. I've recently flown AKL – Cairns return. The usual outstanding service from AirNZ. 787 across and swapped out for an A321NEO on the way back. I do prefer the 787. Food was tasty. Pie, salad and ice cream on the way over, beef curry and brownie on the way back. And yes, there is an AirNZ "All Black" aeroplane in each of the service classes, even the domestic fleet. Cheers from AKL.

  2. If you fly from Auckland to Sydney or Melbourne on the 9am flights you should almost certainly be on a 787 or 777. I think they make sure that business class is available for the business travelers.

  3. A few years back, there were no security checks for domestic Air NZ flights. The only airline that I have experienced that.

  4. What is wrong with Air NZ lounge at Nadi. It has been upgraded to same standards as Air NZ's other international lounges. By the way, the seats on the A320neo/A321neos are slighter wider including the centre middle due to the slim line designed of the seats.

  5. Kevin you have such a nice voice! I’m not really into these trip videos but I have really been enjoying yours. Thank you!

  6. You are a traveler after my own heart. I also hoping to travel on one of NZs all-black livery aircraft. I did a quick check on FR24, and the all-black 787 (ZK-NZE) has been to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Honolulu, Singapore, & Brisbane in the last 2 weeks, so it’s really hit or miss with that one.

  7. Wooden utensils is not just you, ld have been eating with my fingers because l simply cannot even touch wooden utensils or paper straws. It's like nails on a chalk board to me.

  8. I don't get why an aircraft doesn't have BC seats, it's not a "budget" airline IMO. The seat looked classy as does Air New Zealand livery. Those clouds you captured, as well as the landing, stunning and thanks for including this 👍

  9. I have a planned flight with them in JCL on the 777-300 across the Tasman. Fingers crossed I won't be Kiwi'd as well!!

  10. No, it's not just you with the wooden utensils… they're just awful. Had the same issue with BA flying into London a week or so ago.

  11. At least the desposible utensils weren't plastic. Can't stand plastic utensils. Always have.

  12. Liked that a lot- Ive had the aircraft swap a few times from ADL to AKL 777 to A320 not the best but onboard they are always very nice with their service standards
