300th Neputa Festival of Hirosaki, Aomori 弘前ねぷたまつり

300th Neputa Matsuri of Hirosaki was held last year after 2 years of being cancelled due to Covid. Hirosaki’s Neputa Matsuri has fan-shaped floats with painted scenes from Japanese and Chinese history, legends, and literature especially from Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the Water Margin.
