本集我們專程前往日本宮城縣中心的仙台市，參加一個非常特別的祭典 — 「仙台青葉祭」。「仙台青葉祭」每年在五月的第三個週末舉辦，是一個規模相當大的祭典，每年有超過一萬名市民參加。此祭典與八月的「仙台七夕祭」和一月的「松焚祭」並列為「仙台三大祭典」。在江戶時代的藩政時期，當時為藩主的伊達政宗所管轄的仙台舉辦了仙台最盛大的「仙台祭」，到了明治時代則演變成接續仙台祭精神的「青葉祭」， 最後再演變成現今的「仙台青葉祭」。
In this episode, we traveled to the center of Miyagi Prefecture in Japan, to attend a very special festival – the “Sendai Aoba Matsuri”. Held on the third weekend of May each year, the “Sendai Aoba Matsuri” is a large-scale festival with over 10,000 citizens participating annually. This festival is one of the “Three Great Festivals of Sendai”, alongside the “Sendai Tanabata Matsuri” in August and the “Matsuri Sendai” in January. During the Edo period of feudal rule, the “Sendai Festival” was held in Sendai, which was then under the jurisdiction of the feudal lord, Date Masamune. In the Meiji period, the festival evolved into the “Aoba Festival”, which continued the spirit of the Sendai Festival, and finally, it became the current “Sendai Aoba Matsuri”.
