Today we’re exploring the town I live in.. Iwakuni, Japan!! My in-laws are visiting, so this is my quick guide to Kikko Park, Kintai Bridge, and Iwakuni Castle. These are our main tourist attractions, but of course, this is only scratching the surface. I have been living here for almost 4 years (wow!) and I hope you get a chance to visit, too!! Iwakuni is truly one of Japan’s hidden gems / best-kept secrets. It is beautiful in all seasons, especially cherry blossoms and autumn.

" when it's Fate , there is no coincidence ".

the Season of Cherry Blossom 🌸 is the Time of Dreams ,

the Tears of a Dreamcatcher are Precious ,

the fall of the Cherry Blossom Petals 🌸,

is as the fall of the tears of the Dreamcatcher " ,

catch the petal , catch the tear , catch the Dream and make a wish 🌠⭐✨

  2. You should start creating travel guide e-books in English on all the cool local things to see, do and eat. You have so many favorite places and shops, etc. that you share with us – and amazing photos to add to it. 💮🌸

  3. This was adorable watching you with your in-laws! So glad we got to finally see the castle, and vicariously experiencing the cherry blossoms. Still feels like winter where I live!

Your videos really help me feel more confident planning a trip to Japan.

  4. I definitely want to visit iwakuni one day in spring!! It looks so dreamy almost as if you were in a movie 😍

  5. wakuni is a great place to visit for the Kintai Bridge and the Iwakuni Castle. It's considered the gateway to Yamaguchi (at least from the rest of Honshu). I get so homesick when I see these. Half the fun of "hanami" is having that picnic and drinking with friends.

  6. Beautiful views from the top, like it's a painting from a dreamy Japanese animation of spring time.

  7. There's a marine corps base in Iwakuni, good chance I'll be stationed there!

  8. Brilliant video, so lovely to see a part of Japan on vlogs the isn’t Tokyo! So refreshing ❤❤

  9. I can’t wait to return to see more. We had a fabulous day in Iwakuni a few years back. It was a rainy December day but didn’t stop us. Didn’t go up to the castle as the whole mountain was covered in clouds but I have lovely photos of Kintai with mist all around. The people were so friendly and we learnt a lot about the cormorant fishing.

  10. Fabulous! We are heading over in December and I already had Iwakuni and Miyajima as a day trip on our itinerary I have created. Lovely to see a sneak peak of the area!!

  11. Great video. You live in a lovely town. I watched a few of these videos and the common opinion is getting away from the big cities and finding places like these is these. Like those old guys slowly getting tanked .

  12. Absolutely fantastic. Here in Tokyo I feel that the rain washed away most of the Hanami this year. Did manage to see some blossoms but couldn't`t have a picnic.

  13. Ah I miss Iwakuni so much! Especially during cherry blossom season. Hope your in-laws had a wonderful trip. I’m new to your channel but have you been to eat at Sanzoku? That was my family’s favorite place to eat in Iwakuni, we always brought visitors there with us. My family and I are hoping to go back and visit in the next couple years.
