One of the largest Cherry Blossom Festivals in the whole of Japan – Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival. Located in the Castle Park of Hirosaki in Aomori Prefecture, the festival is from late April to early May each year (so if you miss the season in Kyoto and Tokyo, here is your chance)! The entire castle moat becomes a carpet of pink as the petals start to fall. The cherry blossoms don’t last long, so be sure not to miss it!
