“Tofukuji Tacchu Shorinji” is a temple located in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto Prefecture. It is called “Bishamonten of Tofukuji Temple” and is said to bring good fortune, victory, and ward off evil. Tofukuji was built in 1236. “Shorinji” was founded in 1550 as the sub-temple. It is located at the demon gate of Tofuku-ji Temple and is called “Bishamonten of Tofuku-ji Temple” because it protects Buddhism and the north. There are many stone structures, Buddhist statues, and paintings in the precincts, and the powerful tiger fusuma is especially impressive. The garden is also known for its beauty, with moss, autumn foliage, and lotus flowers blooming every season. In addition, the “flower wash”, which is gorgeously colored with seasonal flowers, and the “goshuin”, which is designed with Buddhist statues and seasonal plants, are also gaining popularity.
In addition, it seems that you can also experience zazen. Personally, the flower chozubachi was pretty stylish.

〜毘沙門堂勝林寺〜

「東福寺塔頭勝林寺（とうふくじたっちゅう　しょうりんじ）」は、京都府東山区に位置する寺院です。「東福寺の毘沙門天」と呼ばれており、財運、勝運、厄除けのご利益があると言われています。 1236年に建立された東福寺。「勝林寺」は、その塔頭寺院として1550年に創建されました。東福寺の鬼門に位置し、仏法と北方を守ることから「東福寺の毘沙門天」と呼ばれています。境内には多くの石造、仏像、絵画を有し、特に、大迫力の虎の大襖は圧巻です。また、庭園が美しいことでも知られており、苔や紅葉、蓮の花などが季節毎に咲き誇ります。なお、四季折々の花で豪華に彩られる「花手水」や、仏像や季節の植物がデザインされた「御朱印」も人気を集めています。
また、坐禅体験なども出来るようです。個人的に花手水がかなり粋でした。
