Exploring two infamous Alaskan Ghost Towns [S4E19]

In this episode we reluctantly leave our pristine lake camp and make our way through countless water crossings to the “ghost” towns of McCarthy and Kennicott (also spelled Kennecott)!

We were simply blown away by the intrepid spirit and determination that was needed to even make this place a possibility. I mean, they literally hauled a steamboat across a mountain AND built a railroad 196 miles long across mountains, rivers, and moving glaciers!

Did it pay off in the end?… have a watch and see! 😉

Music at aroind 6 min turned me off, I muted it as it's too gay or religious or something.
I am a fan of your channel, but.

  7. Might have been better to leave the boat turned over not only to use it to protect the gear from the elements, but the boat won't fill up with water.

  8. Great video. We are going from Indiana next year for 12 weeks in our truck camper.
Keep the vids coming, it is an inspiration.

  9. Nice place ! I hope you placed the fishing gear under a boat upside down from the weather not on the edge of the lake where in the video you left it. I am enjoying your trip so far. Stay safe and enjoy the great of outdoors! Around Bend Oregon out!

  10. You do great videography.
I love the drone shots. The details of the glacier. It's those details that we love your channel. Keep it up

  11. Alaskan, born and raised. It just warmed my heart to see another human being pick up trash that wasn't theirs and haul it out of the woods. Thank you. 😊
