Gokayama, together with Shirakawago, is listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site.
You can not only see the traditional farmhouses in Gassho-zukuri style, but also stay at some of them.

    Wonderful filming my friends! I love the home you stayed at 🙂 The thatched roof homes look so beautiful! Are you going to Shirakawa-go as well? I’ve heard Gokayama is just as cool but less busy. I want some of that tempura sweet potato and firm tofu! I loved the overlooks too, so peaceful. Thank you for the amazing time, I appreciate both of you! 🙏🇯🇵❤️🍠 🌿⛰👍
