The Torii Gate at Hakone Shrine in Kanagawa Prefecture rests gently in the waters of Lake Ashinoko. Symbolizing its surroundings, the gate is emblazoned with the word “Peace”. It has since been known as the “Peaceful Torii.” Just behind the picture is the lead up to the main Hakone Shrine, which sits in the middle of a dense forest for quiet and pure relaxation.
