  1. Wow. He is right. For me getting a hot drink from a vending machine in winter is a blessing. I like the hardware stores full of things we donโ€™t have at home. Trash is an issue and even at my temporary accommodation it takes some thought as to how to render trash to be acceptable to the mini garbage truck people. Sometimes tags are needed which can be purchased at the conbini. If you have a bicycle only certain trains and certain cars allow it, but even then the dirty bicycle must be enclosed in a Rinko bag. Otherwise covered bicycle parking is found in many places. Often uncovered bicycle parking is right in front of the store you wish to shop at. Since train stations are central to everything, the major hubs tend to have convenient shopping right there without having to go outside and face the elements. Underground malls branch out in somewhat obscure directions but makes for some of my favorite dinning experiences. In Tokyo and major tourist places you might, maybe, possibly find someone who speaks your language. However I use Google Translate often, since my speaking ability is that of a kindergarten child. My efforts are always appreciated. I am no traveler but Japan is not at all a bad place to visit.

  2. I admire Japanese culture so very much. I visited Japan on my honeymoon and can attest to the things you mention in this video. We asked a random person in the street for directions to the Shinkansen station, and he personally took us there, even though it required walking a few blocks and a short ride in the metro. We all went for ramen afterwards and it was a great experience. The Japanese are a great People.

  3. My home country is beautiful, however after visiting Japan in 1997…, and not previously married, I fell in love with Japan. Now, My Japanese wife and our son, school's there each year for 3 months each year. Simply love it. Thankyou for taking the time to put together this video…, with a small tear in my eye…., I want to go back, now โค
