I challenge myself to eat 7-Eleven breakfast every single day for a full week in Japan. From fluffy egg sandwiches to rice balls and squid ink pasta, I dive deep into Japan’s famous convenience store culture.

Is 7-Eleven in Japan really better than anywhere else? I find out what happens when I rely only on convenience store breakfast for 7 straight days.

  1. On the contrary, I never had 7/11 food in Japan, there’s so much yummy good food around.

  2. I like all the videos Mike makes, but I gotta say the 7-11 videos hit different for me in a time where I was not doing well. Thanks, Mike, for getting me through the tougher times in life.

  3. I live somewhere where they don’t really sell anything good at 7-Eleven, so I’ll just watch this and dream about these items being available near me..

  4. One thing I can never get myself to try anymore no matter how good it might seem is anything with squid ink. For my taste buds it just has a off kinda flavor, nothing bad, but enough to take over a dish with this narly flavor.

  5. As a employee of 7-eleven 9am is the best time (restocking time) cause you will have alot of choices and the freshest 🖤

  6. So proud of you 🙌 you finally
Used the ‘L’ in chocolate!!! 🙌🙌🌈✨
I also love seeing the ‘viral’ Japanese convenience store vids! Where else in the world would one look forward to ‘servo’ food??!!

  7. Is this Mikey Chen that used to make science/ufo content? Pretty sure it is, I was wondering where he went

  8. I can't eat anything with fish, so I don't know what bonito tastes like, but we used to buy bags of bonito flakes for our cat. He would go insane for that stuff. It was like pure Kitty crack. He preferred it to other cat treats. Sometimes, he'd demand bonito on his cat food.

I checked, and I couldn't find any reason not to give it to him.

  9. ive never been to japan, but watching your videos, it feels like i´ve been there. It would be 25 hrs round trip; and while its easy to ¨ease in¨ and watch some shows or read a book in that time, id rather not be on an air plain for that long. Then there´s the air port ainxity youd have to do and two other people who isn´t well vursed in edicute (like i am) so i would have to go with one of my friends….but traveling is super expensive.

  10. Exactly how I would eat if I live in Japan. Please consider doing a Lawson and FamilyMart video too!

  11. UFO is a yakisoba brand from Nissin. If you need to drain hot water, most of times, it's yakisoba.

  12. Mikey , your AI generated thumbnails are just about ridiculous , especially the one where you some SUPER GIANT King Crab on a platter , just pull an image from the video .

  13. I dont understand how America doesnt have this. I live in the suburbs but walkable enough to a gas station but they would make a killing on me if they had anything even a quarter as good

  14. It's my first time I watch a 7 eleven video and I must say our 7 eleven In sweden must upgrade and offer some japanes food like cup nudle and bento boxe. I think many customers will try and enjoy it. I'll defintive by some 🍜

  15. I can’t even get a good mapo tofu anywhere, but what a lucky asshole, actually found a good mapo tofu. And from 7-11, just amazing.

  16. Damn he is still around last time I remember watching his video was when he was in Mongolia eating Indian food God bless you boy

  17. A quick tip: You’re supposed to heat up the sauce on the top of the cup after you pour water and wait for your cup noodles.
I noticed your sauce was in a solid state 6:19

  18. Someone tell 7-11 USA to step up their game. This stuff looks great but I'm not buying any food from the 7-11's near me in America.

  19. That pudding before the creme brulee iced cream was panna cotta at least that's what it looked like to me.

  20. Goes to 7/11 in Japan, looks at all the cases of delicious foods you cannot get in America. Gets chocolate chip cookie.

  21. I eat like a bird compared to you lol. What I’m noticing is that Japan works very hard to perfect flavors, textures and food science. I was shocked when the caramelized sugar actually cracked! In the US I’m convinced it would be gummy with condensation on it. I don’t think I’d trust convenience store clams in the shell but I’d be all over those noodle dishes. I was hoping you’d get the miso soup with onion so I’ll just have to make my own today lol.
