7 FUN Things to do in HARAJUKU Tokyo with Kids | 2020 Japan Travel Guide

Discover 7 CRAZY FUN things to do in Harajuku in Tokyo with kids, including, Takeshita Street, Kawaii Monster Cafe, Yoyogi Park and many more exciting activities!

One of the highlights on our family trip to Japan with kids was visiting the Kawaii Monster Cafe in Harajuku. Saying our kids LOVED it is probably an understatement. Cuddle adorable, huggable monsters, do the monster dance and feel immersed in the crazy setting that makes up the Harajuku Monster Cafe.

Harajuku Japan is also known for its crazy, colourful food and snacks. One of the top things to do in Harajuku is to go on a food tour. There’s no better one than the ‘Crazy, Kawaii Food Tour’ by Arigato Food Tours.

If you’re looking to get away from the bustle and craziness and wondering what to do in Harajuku for a little slice of serenity, there’s no doubt you need to take a stroll inside Yoyogi Park Tokyo which is right across the road from Takeshita Street. Watch rockstars perform and rock out on Sunday afternoon or rent a dog and take him/her for a walk inside the park. By all means, don’t forget to visit Meiji Shrine and make a prayer.
