  1. I are going to be in Kyoto March 10-14 then go to Yokohama for a two week cruise around Japan and say till the 31st in Tokyo. I think we will miss the peak of Sakura, but hopefully see a bit of the early bloom.

  2. I hope to one day make it to Japan during cherry blossom season – but I have to admit, I love coming back n autumn!! I love all the beautiful Momiji. Last time I visited Japan, I was a couple of weeks too early for the colourful leaves, so this time I’m coming at the start of November and staying almost a month (2nd to29th)… My trip is ages away, but it’ll be here before I know it!! ❤💮🇯🇵🍂🚃

  3. I’m traveling in Kyoto right now. I didn’t see your videos too long before I left, but they have been very helpful. Your advice is super practical and grounded, and your videos are very nicely filmed.

  4. Hi! Great videos! Help a lot to prepare for the trip to Japan. Some important detail which I am pretty sure that you said in some of your videos, but I do not remember which one; going from Tokyo to one day trip to Kamakura, and another one day trip to places to watch mountain Fuji (like the Kawaguchiko lake or the famous Lawson), is that better to do in the weekend or during the week day? When there are less people during those days?
    Thanks again!!!

  5. The banks of Meguro river has one of the most amazing sakura blossom sites. And it's has no crowd. Check it out when in Tokyo.

  6. My wife and I are leaving for Japan on Tuesday, the timing of this video couldn’t be more perfect

  7. To all international travelers: please be mindful of using strong fragrances. Many Japanese people are sensitive to scents, and wearing heavy perfume or cologne is often considered impolite in shared spaces and restaurants.

  8. Another great video. We’re going at the end of March into the first week of April and are hoping to catch some blossoms. Washington DC where we live has a Sakura Matsuri centered on the cherry trees around the Jefferson Memorial basin (donated by Japan of course) which is claimed to be the largest celebration of Japanese culture in the United States. I’ll be back in time for that. Would be great to be able to catch both celebrations!

  9. Im crushed to find out the predictions are indicative of when the blossoms start. I have to return on 30/03, pretty much just after they start in all the cities i will be in. If I only i booked a week later 🥲

  10. Hi! Do you think the Sakura snacks will still be available mid April ( 10-20?) I've heard the availability it's always too short 🙁 and I wanna have the chance to try some, thanks for the info! Will be waiting for the updates

  11. Love how down to earth and informative your videos are Abby. Can't wait to go back to Japan and maybe book one of your tours.

  12. We're hoping to be there March-ish to May-ish! Thanks for the upload!

Edit: This is the first we've heard of Golden Week. Oh no.

  13. Thank you! I didn't know about the wisterias, that is a great tip. I thought I'd avoid Golden week completely by arriving on May 8th but apparently not, oh well! 😂

  14. I am traveling Japan on April 1st, finally !! This video in ON POINT. Thank you for your content !!

  15. I am visiting Japan in March 26th. Sakura full bloom prediction for Tokyo region is March 27th. I hope the forecast will be correct.

  16. Hi Abby! Have been watching most of your videos, so helpful and informative. Thank you so much for it! Visiting Japan with my adult son mid April to early May, and doing the golden route, and yes it was a bit unexpected that we will be there in the beginning of the golden week. I just wanted to make sure weather is not so hot, since I cannot handle the heat anymore. Planning this trip has been very overwhelming, because I did not realize that everything needs to be booked before hand and that stresses me even more. My latest conundrum is trying to figure out how to handle the luggage during the train trips stopping in each city and when is best to use delivery services so I don't have to book the extra space in the train. I would really appreciate your opinion on this. Thank you and sending love from New Zealand.

  17. I’m going to Japan in a week’s time and all your videos have been super valuable to help me plan a truly comprehensive itinerary with activities, food and even down to knowing how to navigate train stations and topping up a Suica card! With a bit of luck we get to see the start of the cherry blossom season too! Thank you and keep making great content!

  18. For me… if I see any blooms, it would be a plus, but I definitely would not be chasing it… I won’t plan my trip around it.
