From Onsens in Beppu to traditional Samurai houses in Kitsuki to Futamigauras in Fukuoka to the Iconic Floating Torii Gate in Miyajima, these are the spots outside Tokyo/Kyoto that people from outside of Japan don’t generally see! Yet, these are the places that are the most beautiful AND the very different from one another, the diversity in this country is amazing!
The Land of the Rising Sun is really a different world. Most people don’t speak English and they have Matcha, the best in the world.
The most memorable bit of the trip for me was heading over to Kifune Shrine located to the North of Kyoto and witnessing the first snowfall of the season (Not to mention the first snowfall I’ve ever seen)
This was a mini high school reunion. Many thanks to Likhith for failing in life (haha JK) and going to Japan to study so that we can travel there and Shashank for coming up with the idea and making it happen. After endless re-planning, flight mixups, terrible weather, and Shashank’s lazy a**, we managed to have a decent trip bois. Until the next one!
