This is not the Tokyo they show you in the media. If you stay till the end, you’ll get to see the illegal trades going on as well. They tried to get me. This is Shinjuku after midnight. During the day, it’s busy but controlled. Once the sun goes down, it flips. Trash piles up. Alcohol floods the streets. You’ll hear yelling, sirens, and chaos. It’s loud. It’s messy. And it’s not what you expect from Tokyo. But this is the reality of Shinjuku. If you’re a single man like myself walking around Tokyo, you’re going to get approached by illegal traders. This dude right here, Nigerian dudes will come up to you and ask if you want any drugs or any girls or anything like that. 100% going on. And then all these girls here are all lining up with signs. You could go up to pretty much any of them. I think it’s mainly for locals that they do this, but you can definitely get business with them. Uh they take you into the host bars or whatever. I’m fairly sure. We can’t keep pretending Tokyo is perfect.
