Hello everyone, welcome to Hedgie’s Travelogue. When traveling to Okinawa, of course you can’t miss tasting some local specialties. We go to Jef Burger almost every time, which is a fast food chain unique to Okinawa. At first glance, you may think that the menu is no different from ordinary fast food restaurants,
But if you think so, you are wrong. I will introduce in detail what food is available here later. The decoration of the restaurant is somewhat nostalgic in the style of an American fast food restaurant, giving people a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
After ordering the food, the service staff will give you a card and place it on the table. The food is made upon ordering and will be delivered directly to the table when it is ready. The food arrived quickly and the appearance of the food was very neat.
Since it is made right away, the packaging is still hot. The first thing I will show you is the Okinawa Bitter Melon Burger (Goya Burger). The fillings include a little cheese, scrambled eggs and bitter melon. Even for those who don’t like bitter taste, the bitter melon here is actually not very bitter.
Another signature food of the restaurant is their luncheon meat and bitter melon burger (Meyaru Burger). The taste of bitter melon and luncheon meat is completely unique to Okinawa and very authentic. If that’s not enough, I also recommend you try the fried bitter goya rings (Goya Ring) here.
In the summer, they also sell bitter gourd juice, which is also very delicious. I highly recommend everyone to try it.
