Lots of love,
Tanner, Risa, Willa + Noa! ๐Ÿ™‚

Got a lot of stuff to move how to be accumulate so much to we know Ikea was one of those but it feels good just a few hours we’ll be in our place and then we get to start organizing and putting everything away until of course more of our stuff

Arrives the majority of our stuff so then we’ll really have to be really Keen with our organizing skills goodbye temporary housing we’ll see you guess I shouldn’t say never because you never know with us it was a fun time but we’re ready to go to our house this this like home

Home we’re going to start bringing in our stuff and while we do that we wanted to share some of our first impressions of seeing this house it’s got some cool features we’re going to going to be explaining all of that with you so here’s those clips and then after we’re

Going to take you more on a tour oh wow oh wow I did not expect that this to be here I thought this is the pantry it was that might be a problem huh I can’t wait for you to see this show you the and shes I didn’t even

See that was there yeah it’s a Shoe Closet a shoe CL you know it’s going to be a Shoe Closet a bike here what the young what was this here I didn’t even know that was there oh wow oh what is it oh wow yes it is

Closet wow I’m not expecting this this is like kind of different setup a big bathroom with nice bedet it’s got a bedet by five and then walk through a pantry I would assume a pantry this is a big stove this is what they were probably doing yesterday we

Secretly didn’t secretly we came here yesterday or 2 days ago and we were looking at it and someone was out here and I think it was him maybe it wasn’t and they were putting a piece of wood in there tall ceilings big pantry and then you get over here separate dining room

Separate living room bigger than the last one last one more kitchen space and it’s the kitchen’s downstairs so it’s like it’s so much easier they hauling up food and stuff upstairs yeah that’s true hey can I have um a mangol lassi please this one just like FS

Fancier so this is the dishwasher is bigger too which is nice they’re a little less wide is there a drawer underneath here M oh there is oh look they already have a insert that fits perfectly and there’s heated floors but I know my toies are a little

Cool there’s a fan that is nice that is a t ceilings I haven’t seen a house with a fan until now oh wow yeah the doors are like huge and it’s like a swinging door oh wow nice and there’s even another Wi-Fi modem that’s here too neighbor’s house over

Here it’s actually nice that this is by the bedroom sit behind you the washing and dryer place and the potty and a sink and the tub and bathroom now pull out draes I miss set from our one in Utah oh look at this built into the wall even oh

It’s deep it’s deep oh that is nice it’s like touch oh wow manc fancy okay will I just opened this up and I was looking for how to do that what button did you push this top one that top one this is how we’re going to

Be bringing our stuff in this is our main like patio doors it’s much more convenient to bring our stuff in that way so good job Willow way to find the button [Applause] this [Applause] [Applause] is we got to move it all the way in all the

Way this so exciting we are home yay we are home look who showed up right as soon as I cleared the van out she’s so capable I am even with two Littles right here she’s just I was surprised honestly I thought I was going to show up you

Want to get out I thought I was going to show up to a van full still well when know it’s sleeping it’s nice and will this been such a big help here we Are get get you out come here yeah any but that you need and then this is the turet paper and then it flushes alone and when you stand up it flushes all by itself yeah wow should we go look at the rest of the house yeah so I know

We showed you a little bit last time but let’s give another quick tour show you the place we’re really excited this is our kitchen this is definitely a selling point for me it is by far the most storage we’ve seen in any of the homes and I love a good kitchen so these

Ceilings are tall which means that the cabinets are long cuz they reach up to the top it also comes with a stove and I’m very grateful for that so I can have roasted vegetables and all sorts of other stuff if you want to block out the pantry because we’re going to fill it

Full of stuff there’s the sliding door the fridge is going to go here which is coming today okay go to work have fun at work this is a fun um well I don’t know why I said fun but this is an extra storage thing underneath is like pipes and stuff

Right yeah they do inspection stuff there that’s kind of nice we can keep some more like colder storage down there this is nice because there’s like a pullout rack which is just kind of like the American stove that we’re used to and it came with this CET plate but there’s cute little like

Spatulas and then this too if you watched our first house hunting video we kind of talked about what this is this is like a fish frying rack so standard in the Japanese kitchen someone from our real estate agency is going to come and explain some stuff so we’ll make sure we

Understand this will do you want to show us upstairs where your room is going to be yeah I’m going to try and make it into a little play room follow me okay let’s go this is much more wide than any staircase we ever came across in Japan see which room she thinks is

Hers let me see this one look at this one that’s Daddy’s this is cool cuz this door can open up wider also to make it easier to bring in stuff a big wo T and now see the next wo you’re so fast okay okay let’s let Daddy come in what

Is that a Shoe Closet a Shoe Closet remember our shoes they all stay downstairs at the entrance come in okay let’s come in come on and this is the guest room T and it has this guest room and playroom and it has more shelves huh that closet there’s one more room up here

Everybody you ready everybody go t the washer and dryer here yeah this of course is the bath and shower room which is really cool because it closes like really good waterproof closure here and there’s a deep tub that will wants to show wow wow and we’ll

Come back to this there’s a lot to show you know look here look they have the bed to come look at your temporary bed look yeah until your other one comes wow that was really fast I got home with another load of stuff the agent showed

Up to show us stuff like all the electronics of the house so yeah now we’ve got table and chairs we’ve got a couch we’ve got some beds and our fridge which I’m really excited about and a little microwave on top so it’s not so much of an empty house

Anymore honestly they were putting the beds in the room and I was like that’s taking up more room than I wanted to it is what it is all of the Japanese rooms are just small this is a little bit of a shock to the system we knew

We’d have to downsize this is good this is good for us we can get rid and Purge Minal we went to Ikea and got more stuff but we are returning some things okay we thought we were going to go at the other house so we bought a storage

Unit that we don’t need now we have a table And I wanted to go and show you the fridge here which is really actually an exciting part about coming and not having an American fridge is we get to experience a different style of the fridge and this one is different cuz it’s got the main fridge up top

Here very nice and what’s cool here there’s a little water thing right here here which we’ll get to in a second middle section I’m assuming is for like vegetables let’s see yep yep uhhuh they gave us a little CH cute little ice scoop here because on there when it’s closed it uh

We’ll have a place for the freezer and there’s lots of space we definitely need that oh man well after that last update I made another van ride feeling quite overwhelmed because everything is just all all kind of scattered we’ve done a pretty good job of putting some stuff

Away especially in the kitchen in the pantry but like we still haven’t put like our beds together luckily like we have the beds that they brought today for temporary Furniture but like yeah we’re feeling a little bit overwhelmed about the space overall we’re really excited to spend our first night here in

The house and it’s like I guess even more of that reality of being here in Japan because when we’re on base we’re just so close to everything that’s just Americanized um that it think is just a little bit different but now like we’re going to

Wake up in the morning I’m going to go to work and ride my bike it’s going to be awesome I’m really excited for that but like the girls are going to get up and it’s going to be all Japanese Neighbors which is a really fun thought

And we’re really excited to see uh just how things look in every day in the morning routine and everything like that you guys we’re closing out on our second day here in our house and yeah it’s almost 11:00 p.m. not going to lie I’m feeling a little burnt out out hence why

I haven’t videoed at all today it has just been such a busy day wow not only that but Tanner is working extra hours this week I know the timing the timing’s crazy we’re going to head to Taiwan so stay tuned to our next video because we’re going to take you

With us we’re super excited but it’s just been a really kind of crazy timing we didn’t expect to be moving into our house so late but as is life we’ve been learning a lot of cool features about our house it’s actually quite cool some of the features

Of this house so it was built in I believe 2018 maybe 2019 it’s pretty Hightech I’m really excited for you guys to see the bathroom but here even in the kitchen there’s some really cool features so I’m going to show you some of them so I’m actually going to show

You this panel but before I do it reminded me these are I need to cut the tags but this is um magnetic in fact this whole back wall from here to here is magnetic and I actually think that’s really common and the reason I say that

Is because I went to one of the stores today and there was a ton of um magnet type stuff to hang up on here and like a lot of hooks and organization stuff this one’s just like a hook from ikia it’s so convenient to have this fancy

Thing it’s all in Japanese so we have a paper translating everything from Japanese to English in fact we have like a thick stack of papers that translates all of our appliances Outlets the power box um basically anything that has Japanese on it it’s been translated the reason we have it translated is because

We have a great real estate agent that we’ve been working with anyways this button here is the hot water button so you can have it off and then just not have any hot water our hot water is connected to the gas um it’s on now and you can see the

Temperature at 40ยฐ C this button here actually is a button to fill up the bathtub and set the temperature there so that is super cool there’s another button one of these I don’t know what it is but one of these button up here is an intercom to the bathtub so um you know

I’m going to be sitting in the bathtub and be like Tanner can you please bring me up some ice water I don’t I don’t know that’s just an example um and then there’s like a timer on and off you can see the Eco button there this would be

The temperature so I could set it there I like my water hot he said normally it’s like 40 to 42 but I was filling up a bathtub for Willa actually tonight and um I had it at 40 and then 41 and she was like so happy with that

Temperature so um yeah I’m going to get even more used to this but but pretty cool there the dishwasher I I’m not going to lie we do not know where the detergent goes like we can’t find it anywhere if you know a thing or two about Japanese dishwashers please

Comment down below let us know how to organize the dishwasher because we have a large dishwasher but I feel like I am going to have to run it after every meal to like stay on top of it so yeah send any tips and tricks on organizing it and where to put the

Dishwashing tablets or powder or liquid turn on the oven just like that is for the girl I can’t light I really like her Japanese sink it is really big it’s not like super super deep but definitely deep enough it’s much bigger than our German one the German one would have

Been bigger except it had like the middle separator it did have like a metal drying rack area so it was like the same material that the sink was made out of just extended kind of on the countertop and that was really nice because I could just very easily you

Know dry my dishes right there here there’s not one so I am going to have to use up more of a counter space for that which is a bummer but the drain is so different they’re so so fine like it catches every tiny little thing so today

I went to the 100 yen store I saw that they have these nets for it catches it all the one thing I don’t love is like the added waist um that comes with that but I think it must be very common cuz there was all different kinds there was

Like shallow ones there were deep ones there were rectangular ones square ones there were like cone shaped ones and I’m almost wondering if some of those are for our shower drain I don’t know but that’s where we’ll take you to next is the bathroom all right we’re back in

The bathroom and this is honestly becoming one of our favorite places in the house and it’s because there’s a lot of fun new features for us the layout is really well and it has a lot of purposes so right now I’m in the shower in the tub area shower head right here bathtub

Down here and it’s nice because there’s a door seals off and like the floor is like the nice um easy to clean non-slip area uh separate from like the bathroom and the sink so that’s really nice to have two different areas we are quickly loving having this little feature here

Which is a little control panel where you have the temperature how much water and a fun feature that will actually recirculate like hot water if you want to have like a longer bath and the water temperature is getting too cold it’s got a nice little seat here and interestingly they have these little

Panels you can use to throw over the top of the tub which is kind of nice not sure I’ll be using that feature but it is a fun one and then up here they have like a nice nice exhaust ventilation fan which is another place that you can dry clothes

Um as well if it’s like too hot and humid outside which I know I think it’s going to be a big problem for us in the summer getting used to that and it’s kind of fun there’s a nice little shower button here and then a little water for

This one just to come out there Falls onto the floor and goes down there into a little drain which it’s a little dirty right now cuz my feet are a little dirty but uh anyway a nice little mirror three different uh areas to have your uh

Shower items and like a towel rack for when you’re in the tub and then it’s a quick and easy turn off of that we’re leaving the shower and we’re into like the main part of the bathroom which brings us to our beloved toilet here one of our favorite things about Japanese

Houses is they have toilets with Beday and heated seats yes uh heated seats are actually really nice although personally I probably wouldn’t pay to have like the extra feature um it is really fun and on the side here they have this little control panel uh for the ladies for the

Normal Bay the intensity uh the location of the wand to moveth back and forth and a whole bunch of other stuff that I’m not even quite sure about but you can still do a manual flush um one or two and what’s really cool is this has like

A little sensor on it so it will automatically flush for you uh once you stand up or close the lid so really fun overall high-tech in our opinion and then right next to the toilet we have our dryer and our washing machine so convenient to have this in the bathroom

Especially when you’re hopping into the shower um throwing the dirty clothes into here and it’s just an easy quick change change and our bedrooms are just on the same floor here so there’s no taking up and down the stairs for doing laundry big thumbs up for that one and

One of the best parts about our house is that we are walking distance to the train station so Taiwan here we come stay tuned for the next video you guys it’s going to be a blast and thank you for watching this one we hope you enjoyed our Japanese house let us know

In the comments what things surprise you guys and if there’s things that you like or dislike about it if you like what you saw be sure to hit that like button and the Subscribe button it means a lot where should we go she go to the train station Yeah

  1. Does your new house have central heating ? But sheat heater on toilet is very useful. My friend who came from UK always say "I don't want to go to bathroom in my parentโ€™s home in winter. Sitting the toilet is torture ๐Ÿ˜–"

  2. Love all your videos, this one especially, because we are also renovating our house but it is in the Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿชป good luck with the whole process!

  3. Wowwww sooo satisfying even that's your house not our (viewers) house ๐Ÿ˜Š but thankful for letting us enter your new home….this is what am waiting for๐Ÿ˜Š, danke und schรถnen tag ๐Ÿ˜Š, from Philippines to ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช with love โค

  4. You def made the right decision, the house is amazing! Wishing you the best years in there, I'm very excited for all the upcoming experiences you will share here

  5. Tanner, can you bring me some champagne to the bath tube๐Ÿ›? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ And bring some candles, too…

  6. You just moved to Japan, started a new job and you are already taking vacation time. Wow. that's a nice job you have.

  7. You have more closet space than Walmart, PS dishwashing tablet usually goes into a small container at the bottom of the machine..

  8. Wow! That is a nice house โค. I found the differences so fascinating. I think my Google Translate would be doing overtime!! ๐Ÿ˜‚. Y'all have tons of storage in that house and that will be so nice. The girls will have so much fun playing in their new home. Deep breath and enjoy your life ๐Ÿ˜Š. Hugs from Texas!

  9. I was going to ask when you guys move in to a new place, do you set up Willa's room first? One of the things my parents mentioned about moving around back in the day was that they would always set up my little sister's room first when they moved into a place because my sister would be super restless until everything was unpacked and set up in her room. Then they would proceed to set up everything else.

Also have a safe trip to Taiwan! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. You can buy a dishwasher that doesn't require any installation on Amazon or Rakuten for around 30,000 to 50,000 yen๐Ÿ˜Š
Although the capacity is small, I think it will be a good addition to your current dishwasher.

I recommend a bath mat made of diatomaceous earth(็ช่—ปๅœŸkeisoudo)๐Ÿ˜‰
    No need to wash.

If you want to buy household items, I recommend NITORI๐Ÿ˜Œ

  11. For the dish washer, the detergent goes with the dishes. Yeah, there is no pre-wish to remove most the dirt with just water.
Being 2 in my place, we use the dishwasher once a day. So I guess you would need to use for every meal.

  12. Risa! Did you know that you already have a japanese name? By the way, the cover for the bath-tub is for keeping the water warm till the next person of the family uses the same water. In Japan you usually wash yourselfe before getting in the bath-tub. Thats why the whole family uses the same water. Strange but true!!!

  13. Beautiful vlog๐ŸŽ‰ Willaโ€™s joy to finally be home was so uplifting to see. I love how everyone is feeling more comfortable in your new space๐Ÿฉต Im so excited to see your next vlog to Taiwan๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿฉต

  14. Wow! Japanese houses are really different! Iโ€™m so glad you guys found your home! So excited for you!!!

  15. Congrats on the move in! While the house with the cool Mt. Fuji view and sauna looked awesome, sounds like you made the right choice being close to a train station and work. Remembering how surprised we were to have no closets at all in Munich, but back in Japan there's lots of built in options. For the dishwasher, we tend to buy the individual soap capsules and place it on water drain tray on the bottom of the dishwasher (as the water re-circulates around while washing). And glad you got an ice maker function (great for the warmer weather ๐Ÿ™‚ )

  16. Super interesting to discover all these Japanese house secrets with you! Also, Willa is my kind of girl: To the train station? Yeah!!!

  17. Wow getting use to the High tech ๐Ÿค” i have to Giggle at the toilet but having it closing the lid is my dream ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿ˜œ
Love storage space you have .Hope youโ€™re Settling in finding your way around where your house is .
Exciting visiting Taiwan looking forward to to your next video safe travels have a Good week ๐Ÿฅฐ

  18. do Japanese fridges come able to change the swing of the door? ideally, wouldn't you want it to swing the other way? no hate just asking
