Hello my friends welcome to Japan! Believe it or not, it’s our very first time  here in Japan and we’re kicking things off   in the northernmost island Hokkaido starting  in Sapporo and of course in Let’s Turn It Up   World fashion we’ll explore what makes this  amazing City growing in popularity discover  

A few hidden gems and take you to the highest  rated Ramen spot in Sapporo all before we pick   up our new home on wheels yes RV life in Japan  well hope Japan’s ready for us cuz here we  

Come. The room is so nice and messy right now  but we are all set we got to head down right   now to meet Miss Kumiko-san I’m so excited woo  Dave are you excited I am excited let’s do it.

Hi, how are you? Very nice  to meet you, very nice to meet you, welcome to Hokkaido, thank you we’re really excited to see what you have planned  for us today really kind of showcasing what   it’s all about here in Sapporo and I’m so  excited to meet you because I check

I meet you on YouTube so all right  meeting an actress from movie star wow   wow you’re making me blush girl now you’re my  best friend thank you so much nice to meet you so I just learned right here that our translator  is a little outdated Uchi no hito is actually saying my  

Husband I got a real long and strong laugh from  Kumiko who says that is very old no one says that   almost like ancient Samurai day I’m like this  is going to get quite interesting very funny   very funny very funny I love sophisticated  the humor that has oh this this needs to  

Be more sophisticated we’ll see if it’s  a big waste of money so our first stop is the Nijo Market which apparently is the oldest Market  in all of Sapporo and I got to say at first glance   this place looks amazing names different from  each part of Japan in the area they said why

Say so I am very much a crab girl I love crab and  so Kumiko was just pointing out like the different   versions of crab that come from different regions  which has their names one I have not tried and she  

Said is her favorite is this one right here the  hairy crab and one of the reasons she really likes   this one too is because it has a little bit of a  sweeter flavor to it so I’m really looking forward  

To trying that and it’s fresh and they can boil  it for you they can you know you can buy it here   you can boil it here I love that that sounds nice  yummy yummy yummy sweetest crab in the world in the world so this is Pacific Mackerel  special in Hokkaido this Hokkaido

Special so we just learned if you’re a  seafood lover and I am a huge seafood   lover here in Hokkaido is actually where  you can probably find or will find   some of the best and freshest seafood at an  affordable price so you have a wide variety  

Of different options you saw here from freeze  dried to crab to mackerel and you know what we   heard something very special from Kumiko it all goes wonderfully with beer just saying so if you’re curious about the market here  I just want to let you know Nijo it’s two so  

South two right over here is where you’ll find  this market and again you can find some of the   freshest fish here you don’t just have to buy it  there are restaurants inside you can eat and the  

Prices from what we’ve seen are some of the most  affordable ever I don’t know like try to get   those crabs in the US you might as well sell  your house before you get it Dave you you’re  

Probably going to fall in love with some seafood  and I think you’re falling in love with Sapporo already I’m already falling love with Sapporo  it’s just right over the right over the ocean that’s pretty tall yeah like what if you’re  kind of short you can’t reach that yeah so here  

We are going to go there so that is a 90 meters from the bottom to see Odori Park whole uh whole height would be the 147 meters and uh  we are going to here 147 meters 147 whole height but  

We are going to go to the observatory deck you  can have a plane flying right right and wave to everyone one two oh so not so scary  for you huh oh no this is this is scary it’s   really weird cuz you’re kind of leaning against  it and you’re looking right down like you’re  

Just like holding it so woo gives me the creeps  this gives me the creeps it’s scary that’s   a scary scary window yeah oh my goodness when  you come up to the top of the TV tower you have  

An amazing view of Odori Park and that actually the Park’s name stands for big straight park which is   where as you can see it’s just a straight line  and it’s a park where they have a lot of their   amazing festivals of course the most famous is  the Sapporo Snow Festival which happens in February

Oh wait wait supposed to be at the  park I’m that person I shouldn’t have turned   it that way I was looking at somebody in the  window I wasn’t good sorry sorry sir I didn’t   mean to see you in the bathtub oh you’re seeing some  good stuff there it was quite the full moon

Experience You see the clock tower over there yes yeah  these are the this is the clock tower Sapporo’s icon so there used to be the clock tower of the  Hokkaido University and Hokkaido University has moved   to the North Park but yeah that clock tower  remain uh because they don’t have a clock so  

People need clock so they need a clock they  don’t have a watch they they don’t wear the   watch there over there that’s the clock tower  right over there yeah what time is that’s what   time what time for beer what time is it  time for beer every time oh time it’s 5:00 somewhere

That’s perfect It’s our proof we need evidence so it’s very interesting I never  expected a Massachusetts connection here in Hokkaido I I know I’m like I’m just I I couldn’t believe it  but there he is right there and he’s Massachusetts   connection exactly apparently he was part of  the Agricultural College Massachusetts came  

Over here he was employed here very early on as  well had a huge influence uh and of course this   led eventually ultimately to one of the first  universities in Hokkaido yeah and you know what   well you he’s he’s right upstairs you’re going to  actually take a lovely picture with maybe ask him  

A couple questions while Dr Clark let’s go talk  let’s go have a conversation with Dr Clark this is cool quick little fact okay so the  clock right the famous clock was actually   made by a company called E. Howard and Company  wow and guess where this company’s from let me  

Guess tell me from actually Massachusetts but not  not only that but Boston Massachusetts wow that’s amazing   so incredible connection with Massachusetts and Boston which is probably why I’m feeling right   now that um we’re very close and connected with  Kumiko like family hi hi that’s amazing

So this is the Sato Fish Market here in  Sapporo and I have to tell you when you walk in   it’s almost like a very very different version  than the last one we’re in right babe this one  

Has much more of a cafe cozy feel now you can  still order some of the same bits as some of   that other other uh I guess the older style the  classic fish market where we were just at here is  

Just it feels more modern right oh it does oh it’s  very modern it smells so I’m I love seafood smells   so good but here you know what is popular  right here this looks like it has the salmon  

Roe the rice wrapped in seaweed but it’s already gone  it’s all sold out yeah but the prices seem to be   really they’re amazing right you can eat all day  for like a fraction of what you spend at McDonald’s  

Back in the States that’s true  what are we getting I am going for the shrimp shumai   it looks really good here and this looks like salmon  roe with rice and a little crunchiness on there  

As well ooh I’m excited I didn’t even have to ask  they put in here just because I think you might   be trying uh they put a a wooden fork spoon just  in case you want to try something and you’re not  

Comfortable using those chopsticks that sounds  good to me keep that for me I’m going to save   that for you just in case because you still  have to show everybody how you use chopsticks   for the first time I’m scared it’s going to be  embarrassing it’s a Hokkaido special so is eating and  

Enjoying the Hokkaido special right now and that’s  restaurant so that is K’s doing the talking   for me because I’m just look at that and she is  too concentric and she she can’t she can’t talk   right now so instead of her I introduced  a very special cuisine in Hokkaido thank

Let’s Turn It Up World! I couldn’t have said that  better myself I mean that was just perfect that   is that’s what you get when you’re here I feel  like you’re great so friendly like the atmosphere   you walking in just feels so inviting and that’s  what you get it’s like our new extended family  

Here love byee so I was just asking Kumiko a question we were thinking for dinner cuz it’s   getting around that dinner time what goes great  with the Sapporo beer which is here and what did you   say everything everything goes great with beer  everything I’m talking rice cake even donut it  

Goes wonderfully so I haven’t tried that yet but I  think we might be into a ready for a surprise what   do you think Dave yeah because sounds good to me  Sapporo classic I completely agree and donuts thank you  

Thank you so right now in Sapporo we’re in sort of  the uh Paradise for Japanese animation so if you   love anything about Japanese animation well hey  here’s where you’re going to find it and boy let   me tell you it’s everywhere it’s everywhere right  it’s everywhere it’s all around us now do you do  

You have a favorite anime character uh yeah I  have I have the U narut narut do you know the   Nar can wear narut made also the I think it’s  old and we can’t find right now but Naruto is  

Ninja ninja ninja ninja animation that’s like  me is a very famous anime cartoon the big hit   last year so this is a big hit right here oh  wow I think you would do a great job with the  

Animation kind of voices and sound oh see I can  sound I can see like I can sound like this let’s see get get her she’s laughing at me this  place is unbelievably popular you see a  

Line going that way well it goes deep to the  back end of the store then when you come up   it actually comes all the way around you see it  down this way and it comes all the way around   and just keeps on going unbelievable  wow I’m I am so impressed with the magnitude  

Of what we’re learning here today I mean Kumiko has  been great right just kind of showing us some of   the history some of her favorites and then why  every kid in is here exactly no if you lose your  

Kids you know where to find them they’re right  here I think you’re right and they’re waiting   in line they’re in line it’s unbelievable that  it’s like Christmas it’s crazy that’s crazy food like like comfort  food like like a bowl with

Aath all right I just have to say this right now  we’re in this really fun amazing shopping center   it’s one of the oldest it’s actually the oldest  from this point on in Sapporo called Tanuki Koji  

And it’s unbelievable as a matter of fact one  of the for me the shopping looks great but it’s   some of the restaurants you see off to the left  here I mean this is a famous spot here you see  

That right there Taco Ball this spot here a lot  of the young people come because it’s good good   drinking here good beer good beer good beer for  the heart and the soul oh and I forgot to make  

Mention the reason why this is also so popular  is because it’s like a and why we’re drawn to   it it’s like Japanese soul food and it goes  great with beer I mean you can probably see  

Some of the young folks behind us right now smells  delicious I think I’m ready for some of that right now it’s all local ingredients there at psycho  apparently it’s just here not on the mainland   right so it’s just here well I say Mainland  but I guess it’s all an island but just here  

Just on yeah but it’s got all kind of delicious  homemade ingredients here yeah all all local   aado products as long as we can get here before  11: we could probably get something to stock up   on I would like that that put that in the RV  exactly little late night snack so we  

Probably should mention that Tanuki Koji this  District here in particular which is where we   are at the moment here in sapuro is where a  lot of the foreigners will gather for beer   and eating and restaurants and all the different  things you’ll find here among some of the shops  

So where we’re standing Dave is if we ever get  lost you want to connect with some other folks   traveling to Japan might be here well this is  the Gathering Spot for all of us foreigners   exactly so it’s a good spot for us right here  it’s a good spot for good spot here foreigners

Unite think I have it tell me which one we’re  at the capsule toy shop you ready all right I’m   going to try 100 coin okay see what we got see  what we got I love it put that in oh and then  

You turn it you turn it and see what comes down  let see we got anything yeah that way here we go   here we go come on down I broke it you broke  it we broke it why something in there oh no

Is wow we’ve arrived Ramen we have arrived  after all that walking we now have a special   treat awaiting for us inside some Ramen  our first time trying some Ramen here in   Japan in Japan I’m I’m excited I am  very excited and there it is Sapporo  

Ramen Haruka all right we’re kind of coming  on through had a special invite oh boy oh boy wow this is a real treat here thank  you so much for uh for having us in we’re   we heard you have a very very popular  spot so tell us a little bit about your restaurant

Okay uh so there he mixed the sa mixed with  his original test it became very popular   oh and and how long how long have you how  long have you been in this location or been open years wow and what is the  most popular item on the menu

Chees cheese and mean the Japanese do you  and cheese mixen most oh okay and do you   add any special meat in it is it pork  is what’s a good meat to go into that chashi not not so additional one and  the p puf p St yes oh very good okay  

Important question saki or Sapporo Classic with Ramen uh that’s perfect thank you very excited to to  give this a a shot for sure maybe we’ll be able   to sign up here when there so wow I great ratings  it was top we do a lot of food review in Las Vegas  

So we’ve we’ve done a lot of things in Las Vegas  from Caesar’s Palace plagio even local spots so we   have a lot of credibility when it comes to food  so coming here Dave was doing a lot of homework  

And saw that the ratings were very good here  and it was it was highly regarded and it’s not   also not a lot of seating so we love the small  kind of intimate setting so it makes it very [Laughter] quain SMS so good all oh different Go w thank you yay thank you right there SE classic classic  classic okay you excited I’m so hungry it’s   like so hungry CRA this is amazing just to see  the preparation of this you want to eat it while  

It’s nice and hot what I’m really loving is we  got his his famous ones here which are pretty   much the ones with the garlic but the ones I  think we’re going to really we have never seen  

This in any of the places we’ve been to where  they with cheese and he was grating that like   an Italian just kind of grating it on there it  was very cheesy and just has a lot of flavor  

But first classic T classic okay welcome to  Hokkaido welcome to hoko welcome to hoko with ra Haruka thank you thank you yes  it’s incredible thank you chef that is good really good really [Music]  good I got to try try the Chopstick all   right so Dave okay okay you got to bring  it in close for this one I got to see you  

Try that Dave trying it for the first time  I have to see this wow see that first time   I film I’ve tried before and Fa many times I  failed many times but I got to try cuz he’s  

Got to give it a shot me seriously like  how bad can I be at this right why not so   you it it’s it’s okay to oh wait I got I’m so  hungry hold it no yeah fine too it’s fine all  

Right we’re going to give it a shot bab here  we go first bite shot I got a little I got okay oh it’s so good so good this is really good wow right I’m drying I’m dry that is dynamite  all the way through the noodles are tender I  

Like about them is they’re not overdone I think  they have a really nice contrast with the garlic   oil the green and the white onions mixed in there  which is absolutely delicious of course look at   the chachew the chachew is just so tender it’s  so tender look at that it just Jiggles let me  

Take a bite out of that like it just breaks apart  and it’s so flavorful all the way through and of   course the best way to think about this to is  when you come into order you have it right here  

A QR code scan it order done order menu scan  simple as that just right here ready enjoy oh   my and of course we have one last thing it goes  wonderfully with sapo classic which is what you  

Can only find here in Japan that’s it cheers and  I feel like here it’s kind of a place for friends   very social environment so we a great friend  with us ex a great friend with us and I’m just  

Saying it can only fit what 9 people in here right  nine at a time so very easy very intimate become   friends become friends I love it Japanese style  Japanese style cheers compai compai now I got to  

You trying so this is a special request this is  Chef yya son’s just specialty here it basically   is miso and che che and gr cheese greated cheese  Ramen so miso cheese Ramen I’ve never SE seen   cheese never seen it I mean not only has layers  of cheese see there’s three layers of cheese  

Here you have one layer you almost have like the  yellow sharp cheese and then the grated cheese on   top of that and actually I think you put some  cheese in even earlier on there might be four  

Chees four layers of cheese in oh look at that  oh when now do you mix or do you just eat yeah   so the golden combination go it’s the golden  combination all right here we go I’m going to  

Give it a shot all right there it is look at that  look at that good let’s try let’s go go go wo M oh my God that’s your new favorite  that is really good really good like   that one Dave that one right there we  haven’t done one of these in a while

Ready so good and that means it’s good  folks that means it’s good that means   it’s better than good it’s better than  good amazing that’s really good bravo   bravo you know what is they don’t have  version in America they don’t have this

Some hot sake and of course they’re known for  their whiskey so Dave is getting a whiskey and   I’m getting one too but then we’re going to pair  that nicely with a couple of light bites and here  

Uh squid which is going to be nice and you’re  going to roast it and so this is sort of like   a a tradition style to say a kaido and the folks  here as well it’s cold in sapo where they would  

Sit around like sort of a campfire indoors this  is what it feels like and that’s what we would   call campfire and they would kind of cook and  at the same time they would warm and then they  

Have small talk and they would talk about how  is your day or things that are are going on   which is really wonderful I think they should  bring that back nowadays it’s something that’s   that’s gone away but this is wonderful that you  can kind of see this be a great great way to kick  

Off the evening and you can round it out here  comes the fire here comes the fire oh the hot [Music] coals that was perfect timing and I can  tell now the warmth is coming you can feel that  

Warmth on the cold night oh that is a kind  of the appetizer for alcohol so the seafood   fish paste cake andac which do you want wow  oh I get to pick I like to have my uh pink pink [Music]

Searching for I think this is the one right over  here I am almost certain it is Dave is right now   trying to figure out where to go but I think I  may have found our guide hold on a sec ah Dave  

You have found him yes yes Suzuki son has been  helping us out kaido Nomad RV rental our new   home looks great I’m excited I you excited I’m  very I I kind of thought this was it so I was  

Telling him I think this is where we are you were  trying to find Suzuki s you found him and this is   our this is our home wow okay looks like almost  looks the size of the echo yeah for the next week  

Or so yeah I know it’s actually not it does not  too bad now there’ll be some challenges we have   to learn kind of I know there’s no running water  for us in the winter right all right okay well  

We’ve done the no running water thing in the  truck camper so it’ll be interesting I’m let   me let you focus on what you have to do for this  one I’ll take boes y all right loading up first

Step so right now Dave is inside of that trailer  right there and he’s filling out some paperwork   but this almost has a little bit of a feel uh  similar to Desert Snow it’s an all-wheel drive   um really kind of designed for the winter now  we’re not going to have running water which we  

Talk more about that later and obviously you  have to get used to the driving style which   is very different the steering wheel is on this  side versus this side you know Road it’s almost   like driving in London it’s kind of that  Vibe but it’s really really cool you can  

Hear the heat cranking in there already so we’re  really excited to guys to give you guys a tour   of this before we uh hit the road for some  fun winter camping Adventures here in Jump

Fun Since we have a little time to K let show you  there’s a lot of different options that they have   here I mean there’s a van style that looks like  maybe more of a cargo y cargo van but all these  

Different style actually have uh C like a toe  bows which are super cute as well if you need   that version and a whole bunch of these sort of  like motor homes here and there’s even a bigger  

One I saw that over here this is the mor Tomo  looks a little bigger but there’s multi VAR   tons tons here there that’s a cool one off in the  back looks like that one might not be designed for  

Winter sitting in the snow that looks pretty  cool lots of space up top up there for sure   but there’s quite a few options here he’s got  quite a few so I’m assuming not a lot of folks  

You know we’ll do this in winter but we are and oh  man do you see what we got going on over there I   can’t stop looking at her I got to figure out  what’s going to be her name H we have to name

You to them for letting us uh live in this for a  week in the snow I’m so excited so let’s just give   you a really quick tour of the inside of our  new home on wheals Welcome to our living room  

Space now it’s very different than our Wabo Echo  desert snow especially from the motor home section   to here sort of a walk through this is sort of  a climb over it’s still very well connected um   with each other but this is pretty spacious it’s  a living room area it’s got your television set  

So your dining area um and also a great amount  of workp space cup holders really love that now   for the winter this is this is going to be a  little chilly this will be a little chilly on  

Your bum and legs so always you know dress warm  for sure but it’s definitely got a lot of space   as you can see in here all the different controls  are right behind us so very easy and accessible  

To get to a lot of things you see behind me I  like the entertainment side of things so Dave   and I can sit on the same side and while we’re  doing that we can enjoy little uh television um  

I’m not sure if it’s going to what’s what’s yeah  we’re going to watch there but you know anime anim   maybe a little anime yes for sure but this is our  living room combination um that also turns into a  

Bedroom area for sure this actually comes uh down  the table down uh drops down into a platform and   therefore it has these pads then formulate one  nice size bed as well so I think if you think  

About it it sleeps 1 two three four five I think  it’s probably fit about six people if you think   about it aming that’s amazing for this size here  so definitely a little bit more fun use of space  

In s EO which only sleeps about [Music] two come  on over here you guys really quick I want to show   you so this here is most likely where we’ll  be sleeping one heat rises and as you can see  

There’s not much of a barrier between the coach  seats area in the front and the living area so   that’s going to probably keep it a little bit  on the cooler side but heat rises so Heat this  

Actually turns into what I consider a very big  bed you pull these out like so this comes all   the way out as needed all the way out the the  mats go down here to form the nice bed and you  

Got your ladder we can climb on up here and  be cozy now because we were in a truck camper   not that long ago this has a very familiar feel  especially since one person has to hop over the  

Other so in this case I know where I’m going to  be sleeping that back wall so D doesn’t have to   hop over me plus he likes being a little closer  so he can go to the bathroom whenever he chooses  

Without me climbing all over him cuz I don’t use  it as often as Dave does that is the truth that’s   our utensils I’m putting away yeah so we kind of  got the full little package here I will say this  

Has a definitely nicer quality Cabinetry for  sure this is actually a vent fan which is nice   this vents out which is no I think that’s really  important especially when you’re cooking to have a   a vent that kicks out some of that air especially  since you’re using in this one in particular it’s  

A propane burner it’s two propane burners it’s  dedic welcome to the kitchen you guys by the way   come on in this is our kitchen area two propane  burners you have right here as well of course you  

Have a sink unfortunately we cannot use that in  the winter because it is winter rise so no water   do not use so we’ll be uh we’ll be really you  know ra thank God we have a lot of experience  

When it comes to that no water and wound knocking  from the truck Camping series which by the way if   you haven’t seen that series you should definitely  check it out um but again it’s nice to have that  

Ventilation system to be able to pump that out  when you’re cooking here I do love the fact that   it has a nice window when you’re looking outside  and cooking I just love that just feels you know  

I love to cook so for me all that the creation  of space is wonderful and they did a great job   with that but if you look right down here a decent  size refrigerator I see that right there doesn’t  

Look like we have a freezer so no ice cream  but yeah looks like that would be a freezer   but there’s no door in it so don’t think we have  a freezer but lots of and plenty of room I think  

Our freezer is outside at night well that’s true  if you want some ice cream just put it outside   just watch out for the Bears yeah good point  but it’s really great that you have uh we’re  

Not going to be using the pump uh no water so  we’re going to be making do on that one here do   love that it has a microwave so this is going  to be great when to have our little popcorn uh  

And movie Nights right in here which is lovely I’d  like to see that for sure a little bit of storage [Music] here and let me uh take you into the  bathroom so give me one [Music] second oh yep  

That that’s the toilet you guys um so that’s a DEC  decent Siz bathroom for such a small compact space   again we’re not able to use the water in both the  toilet and the sink so there’s a a bag system that  

We have put in place you know bags that have the  breakdowns the smells and bags to dump and you can   put them pretty much from what we were told we  can dump them in dump stations places where you  

Can put trash so that’s going to be the use of  bathroom there’s no shower here fortunately we   showered before we came here today so we’ll see  how that goes you know how it is in our your life   sometimes you shower sometimes you don’t sometimes  your baby wipe m lavender scent just works really  

Well I have the lavender scent so that is just oh  you’re passing the smell test baby oh thank you   thank you very much thank you oh yes basically  right here this is giving you instructions on  

How to use the toilet when you’re using the bag  system there’s a video that they put together that   does have an English version uh with captions as  well so you can actually see how the toilet system   works in here pretty self-explanatory and if  you’ve been a camper before you’d know exactly how  

That works when you’re uh outside portais [Music]  welcome to the back bedroom area it’s actually a   bunk bed system back here which is is surprisingly  comfortable I don’t know if Dave can stretch his  

Legs out here but I think if I moved up to the  top I could probably stretch out just enough but   it’s got little window there’s lamp back here and  there’s two AC outlets for you to be able to plug  

Up your devices U which could it pretty cozy I am  definitely not feeling this might be our calling   back here because it does feel a little on the  colder side now the door is open the Heat does  

Crank which is wonderful but you know I’m going  to check it out and um yeah I’ll meet you guys out   there after my yeah wait wait what’s that is it  stuck was that oh there okay great after my quick  

Power nap I’ll see you in a minute so I want to  mention to you guys what we have here are two nice   sleeping bags that kind of keep us toasty warm  you saw when I was laying on one of those these  

Blankets thick blankets there’s a sheet that goes  on the bed and of course we have two pillows which   should be nice so wherever we decide to sleep we  will be cozy together that is for sure and right  

Over here is where we have our closet space so  decent Siz closet um it’s about a 3/4 from the   floor so there’s a you know equipment down below  this closet space here but there’s where you   can hang your clothing that’s what we’ve done uh  looks like there’s a light system that’s in here  

Normally but it’s not working at the moment but um  decent space for what it’s worth and I have to say   like seriously like the height space is great let  me show you Dave’s head look at this oh it’s great  

Height look at that yeah it’s really nice height  for the size of this right very impressed it   always has that Desert Snow height feel right yeah  no it’s very it’s it’s very nice you don’t feel   you don’t feel like enclosed or claustrophobic  all it’s actually they do an amazing use of space  

Here really good so just a couple of quick cool  things to point out here so we were told with the   heating system it does run off of diesel so the  heating system runs off of the diesel tank which  

Is great there’s no separate propane involved  it just runs right off of that diesel we have   to keep it up on Max and we actually he said we  can actually use it while we’re driving which is  

Pretty interesting cuz normally we don’t run with  the heat on in and desert snow but also what’s   nice about this too is it does have an inverter  which works works the microwave and the AC Outlets  

The television and we actually if we’re going to  be at RV park there’s a plug up for this so you   don’t necessarily have to worry about that and it  charges while it drives so a lot of similarity in  

Terms of some of the features that we do have in  desert snow so it just kind of feels like we just   came right over to Japan and we’re in a sort  of a different version of our own camper van  

The only thing missing is our kitties and I miss  them so much already so they would love it in here   they would so love it but I have to say we’ve been  getting pictures every day from our friend that’s  

Showing us the kitties and he plays with them and  it’s just really special so maybe on the next trip   out here we can kind of cozy them up to letting  the cats go with us cuz you know they’re a part  

Of the family now anyway without further Ado I  think it’s time for y’all to get out of here so   I can get things organized because we got to hit  the road soon before things get icy out there so  

Get outside right now and uh see what Dave’s up  to all right so first up let’s take a look want to   show you the driving area that’s not the driving  that’s not the driving area run side of course  

We’re in Japan they drive on on the left hand  side of the road so that’s something definitely   new for Tanya and me to get used to driving here  in Japan we’re pretty com we’ve done it before in  

Other countries so pretty comfortable but it does  take a little bit of adjustment no doubt now one   thing I want to point out is just it’s definitely  a narrower RV than desert snow but the cool thing   is when you’re inside it actually feels spacious  you don’t really it doesn’t feel really tighten  

There right babe that’s true agree not at all of  course we’ll kind of find out by living in it this   next week Toyota engine RV is camro and it looks  looks really nice really nice design but let me  

Take you around here so nice little driving space  here really great vision great window which is I   think it’s going to be nice to drive it’s not a  spacious area might be it looks a little tight I  

Sat in there though and I’m definitely going to be  comfortable driving this now one thing I want to   point out about and by the way the model number is  a zil 520 and they actually give you here at haido  

Nomad car rental they give you videos to watch and  in the video they said to actually start when I   put the key in right and you turn it so when all  the kind of the lights come on for the vehicle  

You let some of the lights kind of go off give  it a second give it a few seconds and then you   can start [Music] up that’s it I’ll take you real  quick around the rig right here you actually have  

This is the power plug so you do we go to an RV  park that has a power outlet we plug up right here   very simple design and then right here this is a  little different from what we’re used to in the  

States you open this up a little connection right  here and actually down here it’s not storage it’s   not a generator it’s actually the diesel tank this  is where we fill up the diesel and you have to put  

A key in here I’m not going to do it now we have  to put a key in here turn that it comes right out   make sure it fill up the diesel at the gas station  and then uh put it back on with the key lock it up  

And because we’re running in Winter the RV comes  equipped with Dunlop winter Max snow tires now   this looks very similar to the cassette toilet  area in desert snow because it’s winter months we   are not going to be using using this and one thing  you can see as well is that there’s just amazing  

Windows here right babe I’m super impressed with  the windows there’s a lot of Windows not a lot   of nice light coming through yeah look at that  huge window love it that’s a huge thumbs up and  

Also there is a lot of storage here let me show  you like here and a really big compartment right   here and since aido is known for great skiing  and snowboarding you can actually slide your   skis and snowboards right here and they’ve also  supplied us with a great barbecue kit as well  

As a propane outdoor burner so T is going to have  amazing opportunity to make some really good foods   I’m super excited I think I’m going to be spoiled  this week yes you are now if you’re wondering what  

We’re going to do with all of our garbage bags and  things like that during the week they have a nice   spot out here so you can kind of keep it nice and  clean inside with no smell I’m looking forward to

Little a little snug in here a little snug  it’s very snug so to put the seat belt on   what’s funny there’s actually more room  on the driver’s side look like there’s   definitely maybe you’ll do some more driving  oh I don’t know about that maybe I will but
