Hey there! We’re Rita and Pedro, a part-time #travel adventure couple from Portugal. We hope you enjoy the videos of our adventures around the world ✈️🌍 #japan #travel #tokyo #tokyojapan #travelcouple

Japan is a surprising combination of old and new and whilst living in the future they still respect old customs and traditions this is the country where tradition meets the future so join us in our quest to explore Japan’s capital in the world’s most populous Metropolis we arrived in Tokyo today and we weren’t expecting this there’s a festival going on and uh yeah just crazy Japanese craziness so packed we were not expecting this definitely there’s so many people [Applause] [Applause] here oh yeah People are doing it I don’t Know What’s that I think it’s a type of okonomiyaki kind Of kind of this is good m This is Sanja Matsuri this is the most popular annual Shrine Festival here in Tokyo and it’s crazy so yesterday we were caught up when we arrived in Tokyo in the middle of this festival with we didn’t know what it was so we went back to our hotel and did a little bit of

Research and it’s actually something that is pretty great here in Tokyo we are very glad that we are experiencing this so let’s go now that we know what it is let’s go in explore Everything oh this Sanja Festival is an annual Festival in the aaka district and is held in celebration of the three founders of the S soji Temple the festival is so popular amongst locals that nearly 2 million people visit asakusa over the 3 days of the festival this Festival features about 100

Portable shrines that are paraded in the streets to bring Good Fortune to the local businesses and residents for the entirety of the festival asakusa is packed with food stalls and Festival games and made a lively atmosphere of Japanese rums and Fluts for breakfast we are eating some octopus balls So we’re trying a the coin we already tried this somewhere don’t remember but that one was with custard cream this one is with cheese which one is better I like this One W we are in Shibuya and this is one of the busiest places here in Tokyo right behind me you have the famous crosswalk where there’s tons of people crossing the Shibuya station that serves 2 million people every day so as you can imagine this area right here is very

Very busy and today we are taking all in we’re about to cross it get ready three one go there’s so many people going in all directions awesome oh you you need to be careful especially when you have a cam true okay we’re Japan has the most impressive ads on billboards this is a

3D ad I don’t know how they do it but it’s uh pretty cool outside of shuya station there is a statue of aiku the loyal dog that waited for 9 years for his master who sadly passed away and never returned this statue is an iconic symbol of loyalty

And devotion in an incredibly popular landmark in Shibuya we are having our first revolving SU Seem very surprising we thought it would come here but no it comes right over there so we are not sure how this works let’s eat we have Table There We are at the Tokyo Metropolitan government building this is a completely free Observatory deck where you can see all of the views of the city it’s really really amazing and the best part is that it’s free so travel Hatch This is our last day in Tokyo so of course we couldn’t miss one of the most iconic Towers the Tokyo Tower right behind me and it’s of course beautiful like everything else here in Tokyo it’s surrounded by uh beautiful gardens temples so let’s explore this Area Tokyo has everything we can ask for and more which is one we consider it to be one of our favorite cities in the world honestly we can’t wait to come back and experience more of what this electric city has to offer as always we appreciate you being here thank you for

Watching and see you again soon on our last video of our Japan series
