Discover Sakura in Tokyo Japan:
The “symbol mark” expresses the image of the fresh and colorful “food” that they deliver to their customers with a shape that looks like fish or vegetables and colors that are full of life, and also includes the initials of “Maruetsu.” They have expressed the letter “M”
Promise to customers expresses Maruetsu’s image in three parts:
1. What they aim for: They support customers’ “dining tables with smiles”
2. What they deliver: They deliver “fresh discoveries and excitement” to their customers.
3. Their heart: We love this city and value the bonds we have with their customers

Wonderful example of cross selling with oil placed next to salads So more mushrooms
Japanese have master the art of cultivating and presenting fresh produce so you have an outstanding and tasteful one and they can mark them up accordingly! Look how good they look like And the choice is very large Product display is also not overwhelming They are keeping it quite sober
And this happens in all Japanese Traditional Grocery Stores The islands are a little bit busier While they try to keep them from overflowing The Japanese shoppers love clear and clean supermarkets Not too bright and too colorful In our Tokyo’s Life Supermarket Video, you can find packs explanations!
For example, why are those mainly transparent And why are those very colorful and with graphics It is kind of interesting to understand Something also quite interesting is that the main signage is English โ๏ธโฌ๏ธ While all sub signages, are in Japanese Like this one here, to celebrate Sakura, Cherry Blossoming ๐ธ
By the way, this fridge is full of gifts to offer when celebrating Sakura Mainly cakes, cookies, … ๐ If you are interested to discover Sakura in Tokyo, there is a link here below โฌ๏ธ There is too many digital integration in store, except here Which is surprising for Japan

Packagings are also quite neutral! Not too many fancy colors – focus on showing the final result Except here are those are the cake mixes and desserts Interesting to see that in the mid store alley, end caps are more in fixtures Much more traditional set up!
This part was previewed as the choice they are offering is so big! And once more this category is quite neutral in terms of packaging Same with the body care products! More and more the beauty section is fully illuminated – while here just one part
And is not so large! There are a lot of Drugstore in Japan, which must be why Some other personal hygiene products Very interesting end cap – here are extension of shelf and no promo It is a great illustration of international brand presence
