Hello everyone! It’s my second day in Tokyo After a long flight yesterday, I’m waking up late and skipping breakfast Currently, I’m getting ready to head out for the day, especially since I have a lunch appointment at 12:00 If you’re eager for food recommendations in Tokyo, join me, and let’s explore together!

I start my day from the hotel where I’m staying The hotel is conveniently located with an Oedo Line subway station right next to it Moreover, there are also JR line trains nearby Well, Tokyo has many railway companies, both public and private which is quite different from Zürich, where I live

To be honest, it was a bit confusing for me at first but no worries! I’ve learned more, and I will share tips on how I save on transportation costs in Tokyo in another video Now I have just exited the station and am walking towards the restaurant

Actually, I got numerous recommended restaurants through Tabelog a popular restaurant review and rating website in Japan I know this omakase sushi restaurant from Tabelog also They have very good rating on Tabelog and won awards from 2017 I’ve already uploaded a video about this restaurant

You can watch the complete review in the previous video Now I’m strolling around the city getting lost in Kabukicho meeting Godzilla and shopping at Don Quijote until the sky gets darker For dinner, I decided to eat a bowl of noodle on this cold evening Many people always line up at this restaurant

Remember, you have to pay in cash here because the ordering is done by machine After a 20-minute queue, here it is, Tsukemen Motsu Special The specialty of this restaurant is tsukemen a Japanese noodle dish that the noodles are served separately from the broth Their broth is very rich!

There’s also an option to add rice porridge at the end Afterward, I head back to the hotel to take a rest Today, I wake up earlier than yesterday and find myself getting hungry Fortunately, there is a bakery with various option in the hotel lobby from breads, pastries, and sandwiches

I choose this toast for my breakfast today The hotel not only features a bakery but also provides vending machines and there are even coin laundry machines for guests Well, I try the coin laundry machine this morning It’s remarkably easy and convenient After finishing up with the laundry, I am heading out for lunch

I have a lunch reservation for yakiniku today I order the Gensen lunch set and here’s what I get: marinated vegetables and kimchi, seaweed soup, salad, and beef tartar The beef tartar is very delicious! Despite the beef and egg being raw, there is no unpleasant odor at all

Here it is the meat as the main dish beef tongue, outside skirt, lean beef, top blade, sirloin, and chuck roll It’s an excellent place to enjoy with family or friends, engaging in conversations while barbecuing And, most importantly, all the meats are incredibly delicious and tender

I particularly enjoy when the fat melts in my mouth Don’t forget to dip the meat into the raw egg or their tasty sukiyaki sauce I really enjoy my lunch today As for dessert, I get a refreshing lemon sorbet After that, I head to Ikkouan for Japanese sweets

It’s about a 3-minute walk from Myogadani Station Unfortunately, the waranobi mochi that I was looking for is already sold out so I opt for another wagashi or traditional Japanese sweets Interestingly, they have a wide variety of sweets They won the bronze award on Tabelog in 2023 I purchase two of these sweets

Both have the same filling, which is red bean but they have different textures For dinner, I have a reservation at Unagi Uomasa The nearest station is Yotsugi Since Captain Tsubasa author and illustrator Yoichi Takahashi was born here the Yotsugi station is decorated with images of Captain Tsubasa

This restaurant also boasts an impressive rating on Tabelog and has won the bronze awards from 2017 to 2023 I had already chosen the menu when I made the reservation domestic brand eel extra with a price of 7,700 yen Not long after waiting, the appetizer arrives I get liver and deep-fried eel spine

Following the appetizer, the main course arrives it’s a quite large portion for me The eel is a delightful blend of melting tenderness, smokiness, and flavorful It’s truly the most delicious unagi I’ve ever experienced This restaurant requires reservations, so be sure to book in advance

Interestingly, if you don’t have time to make a reservation you can buy the unagi from the vending machine outside the restaurant That wraps up the day See you on the next video
