Let’s check out some window displays, decorations, and other Christmas-related stuff in the famous Ginza neighborhood of Tokyo.

Know window browsing you know there’s a lot of Christmas decorations Christmas window displays um some lights and stuff so you know just just showing you guys what Christmas morning is like here in Japan and in Japan as you can see people are walking they’re going to work it’s

Not a holiday here people don’t celebrate Christmas like they do in the west um it’s not a Christian country or anything like that you know people aren’t going to to Christmas morning mass or any like nothing like that whatsoever people are it’s just a normal Monday here in Japan people are going to

Work so anyways uh let me turn this camera around and we’ll get started yeah so uh I actually started from right over there which is uh shimbashi station yeah so I came out of like an exit right right around there and so we’re going to come up this

Some reason yeah so um Christmas Eve is the more important day here in Japan it’s basically like he said it’s a romantic day it’s uh when couples go out uh you know um everyone’s on a DAT and um people eat chicken whether it’s KFC or not uh people will

Try to eat chicken like roast chicken or fried chicken so a lot of department stores and other places will sell that and also cake so every department store every convenience store everywhere has Christmas cake yeah so this road leads into Ginza and this is where we’re going to be

Going we’re going to be going through here and um actually instead of this street I think I feel like I want to go that way so let’s go this way Houdini how you doing Merry Christmas Merry Christmas yeah so we’re kind of already at Ginza this is uh the the beginning

Like the southern edge of Ginza so if I look down this way um it’s one of the many alleys here little back streets and uh right across the street is the Hooters Hooters Gins I think this is the only Hooters in Tokyo to my knowledge I

Don’t know I don’t I don’t really care for Hooters I mean don’t get me wrong I like real Hooters but uh Hooters restaurant I I don’t care I honestly don’t care there’s a Ginza 9 kind of little shopping like strip shopping mall underneath the track that runs

There and uh this is one of the back streets here what’s nice is uh some of these streets they have uh different decorations so this one actually has uh you know these light posts they’re all the way down this whole street is like these light posts it’s got some nice uh ornamentation on

It it’s kind of cool I don’t know if that was always there or if it’s just for Christmas it might be just for Christmas oh yeah cuz uh the little Banner says namiki Timeless illumination so I guess it’s specifically for the Christmas uh decoration so at night time this place is all lit

Up watch out for cars here okay I think we can go yeah so at night all the way down here it’s all lit up which is kind of nice what is this Ginza Grand Hotel they’ve got a a waterfall feature on the inside here it’s kind of

Unquote like the the Rodeo Drive of Tokyo um with many luxury brand stores but a lot of the back streets and stuff there’s a lot of restaurants I mean there’s so much food in and around this area so a lot of business people will come to this specific area and have like

You know um like client dinners and stuff like that company dinners try to you know smoo and get uh a client to like you know make an agreement or sign a deal butter them up so I think last year we looked at this window here they’ve got the synian family

Display this one’s a little different from last year Fountain 5000 Merry Christmas we got a little Christmas scene going on they’re eating some cake let me change this yeah cute little uh felt animals very famous they got a little C Christmas house going on yeah pretty cute huh and then of course the monstrosities these things come alive at

Night and they steal from all the businesses around here so yeah this is uh right outside of a very famous toy store here this toy Park the uh what is it called Haku hingan toy Park yeah so this is a very famous toy store here in uh in

Ginza it’s closed right now they don’t open till like 11:00 but it’s uh many floors of toys many many floors JT good morning yeah wonder what kind of uh Christmas displays do they have going on here see some Santa stuff it’s a Santa Tower is that is that

Books do you read if so which books do you prefer um I like reading but I haven’t read in a while um now I yeah I usually prefer non-fiction so you know kind of like history or science or something like that I I like reading about that kind of

Stuff um I read a lot of stuff online these days I don’t so much read like physical books anymore um or not even ebooks I don’t have an ebook reader like a Kindle or anything like that um I just read stuff on my phone or you know on my

Stuff they all got caught but um that was like a big thing cuz it was like broad daylight it’s like something you don’t see in Japan like broad daylight like it looked like a scene from like Grand Theft Auto 5 like a heist like a jewelry store heist

Shops but they’ve got some Christmas lights it looks like they got Point SAS right here as well and there’s this pretty cool like Elevator Shaft thing that comes down right here I don’t know how it works I guess it’s just a regular elevator um but yeah they’re not open until

High school dropouts and they were like either huffing pain paint or they were like taking a normal cold medicine but in like massive quantities uh cuz then it apparently makes you trip and like hallucinate or something so I don’t know I never did any of that um I’ve known

People who’ve done that and uh it’s just it’s really ridiculous it’s bad uh this is a farra uh window display looks like they’ve got some candle type of thing going on here Chrissy Merry Christmas yeah it’s kind of neat very simple I like that so I think what I’m going to do is

I’m going to walk all the way down on this side and then we’ll come back up on the the opposite side and then along the way we’ll see if any kind of window displays or whatever catches our eye sound good chat uh this looks like a shoe store

Yeah Ginza 6 this place is pretty cool um it’s probably difficult to stream inside CU it’s a large ass building but um inside uh on the top floor they have a Taya bookstore which is really nice I highly recommend that and then the the interior has like a huge open space kind

Of uh like I don’t know how to call it but um like an Atrium and uh inside they usually have some really amazing artwork hanging inside so if you ever in Ginza definitely go inside of Ginza 6 building just check it out it’s it’s a really cool building filming company Secrets

Exactly uh Sienna says what’s everyone’s go-to Christmas movie uh mine used to be like National Lampoon uh Christmas vacation that that is a classic for me I know Sasha hates Chevy Chase but I I grew up with Chevy Chase I grew up with the National Lampoon series the Christmas National

Lampoons one was like one of my all-time favorites uh this is a Yoshi Noya Ginza Shoe Store bag store I like this wreath that’s kind of Cool home alone is a classic the first one is good the second one’s pretty good too third one is trash die hard I like die hard a lot I like it and I do consider it a Christmas movie but it’s not my go-to Christmas movie um what is this Diana

Of a Christmas thing going on they do have this uh crazy swaying sweater Thing I think I showed this before Right I feel like I showed this a few months ago but it wasn’t sweaters it was just like t-shirts or something yeah that’s pretty interesting right yeah I think if the movie takes place during Christmas at even like not even the whole movie like a part of it

If someone is wearing a Santa hat like it’s it’s a Christmas movie if there’s like snow and a Santa hat and it’s like Christmas day or whatever like that it’s a Christmas Movie yeah I see some more displays I I think I buffered over here before in this area so hopefully we don’t buffer uh blue footsteps says do most stores not open till 11:00 yeah that is a not even just Christmas day that that is just like a common thing in Japan

Most of like the shopping mall like Department Stores um the shopping districts this is It’s a normal thing for shops not to open until 11:00 a.m. is that the uni with 10 floors uh I don’t think so I don’t think so there’s a the uh the uniclo flagship store is uh

Nearby but that’s not it the one that we just saw that is a smaller version so this is uh kind of cool they’ve got some decorations here I’m just kind of going slowly so y’all can take it in too cuz I’m taking it in I haven’t been here this season to see
