Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

  1. love this video format, stick with this, easy to watch, loved the video!!!!!!!!!!!!! unpolished, less cuts, more natural and raw.

  2. We have a lame joke in south afrika that sometimes works on gullible people. we say the birds in the free state province fly upside down reason being is there is nothing to see.
I love the counter's you have on screen – e.g wet bath.

  3. australia is slightly bigger, if you exclude alaska and hawaii, but usa has way better landscape, aus is mainly desert in the middle

  4. I adore how much fun you two were having while traveling! You were just being yourself and having a blast!

  5. I had to look this up after you said that the Katoonaba scenic railway was the steepest angle train, and actually in Colorado Springs, there used to be the Mount Manitou incline, and it was steeper at one point.

I remember as a little kid when we were stationed in Colorado Springs, and our class went a couple times to take the incline train up the mountain and then we would hike down.

Here's some info I found on it:
What is the Incline? In brief, the Incline as it exists today is the roadbed to the former Mount Manitou Scenic Incline Railway — a cable car that took people up the eastern face of Rocky Mountain to about 8,600'. The steepest section is at a grade of 68% with the average grade just over 40%.

Today, it's a very steep hiking, where you go over 8,000 ft.

If you get to Colorado Springs, let us know, we'd be happy to show you around.

  6. I just love you guys, you tell such great stories about the places you visit. I think you guys are such a cute couple, Kara is so beautiful! Ive been watching you guys for awhile, even before you did van life. Kara I love your shorter hair, you are just a beautiful person inside and out. I have never commented on any videos except your friends Eamon and Bec. Ive just never dared, but I decided to finally do it because I just love you guys.Thank you for such amazing videos.
And I have to just mention how sweet it is that Nate brings Kara coffee in the morning…so sweet! Love you guys!

  7. Omg I went on the worlds steepest railway as a child however I had a melt down and was so scared that they had to bribe me and I was given a kangaroo teddy bear to get onto it 😭😭😭

  8. If you guys ever come to visit Katoomba again I would highly recommend going to echo Point and climb the giant stairs to hang out with the three sisters

  9. Is it possible to mix up all the cute entertaining bits with some basic information, e.g., what did the tickets cost?

  10. Can we talk about how stunning Kara looks in this video! She always is stunning but wow 🤩

  11. I love your videos so much! ❤ And the idea of the meet up is so cute it was so cool to see you make new friends! Love you guys, thanks for sharing your travels with us! 🫶

  12. I think you guys might now have honorary Aussie status – between Vegemite and having swallowed a fly!
