Nebuta Museum, Aomori, Northern Japan | Indian in Japan | Japan Travel vlog Hindi

Aomori’s Nebuta Festival is held every year in early August, but for those who can’t make it to the festival itself, Nebuta Museum offers a glimpse into the experience year-round. The museum is kept dimly lit, the better to see the colorful, brightly illuminated parade floats on display.

The floats are made of wood, wire and paper.

The Tohoku Region consists of six prefectures (Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata) in the north of Japan’s largest island, Honshu. The region is very well known for its countryside, mesmerising mountains, huge deep lakes, stunning hot springs, high quality rice and rough winters.

My Itinerary:

9:00 am – Hop on Super express Shinkansen to Shin Aomori Station from Morioka Station
10:00 am – Enjoy the post breakfast snacking at Shin Aomori & visited tourist information centre for station stamping & area map.
11:00 am – 5 min local train ride from Shin Aomori Station to Aomori Station
11:10 am -12:50 pm – Take the Nebuta Museum Tour
1:15 pm – Grab the lunch and hop on JR bus for Lake Towada
4:30 pm – Check-in at the hotel
