Had the pleasure of participating in the famous Dontaku Festival with my classmates at NILS.
Dontaku comes from a Dutch word, “Zondag” which also means “Sunday”, or in this case “Holiday”. On this day, people from all over Japan gather to watch as residents fill the streets clapping rice paddles and playing shamisen. All in all, it’s a good day.

you know…i love watching your videos…i believe this is my first comment on them after so long of watching. they are so unprofessionaly professional or something. but they grasp a sense of realism and fun..but they are always so interesting to watch lol. thanks for taking the time to make them. i enjoy them as many others im sure.

確かにここに映っているのは『博多どんたく港祭り』という摩訶不思議なパレードですね。

i could be like a japanese version of our dutch 'Carnaval', that's around the end of februari every year.. people dress up and walk in parades and stuff.. it's much fun around here then:P
