Japan has long been a dream destination of ours, but it always seemed out of reach. It’s time to bite the bullet, book the ticket and go… right? Well, since this was the most last-minute trip we have ever done, the ticket prices were high, but where there’s a will, there’s always a way! We start our journey in sunny Bangkok, Thailand, where we stayed in what we can only describe as a mansion of a hotel room. Our workaround for getting to Tokyo, Japan, is to head to Hanoi, Vietnam, first. We have a whirlwind of a time in Hanoi, which is as busy and crazy as always… but we love it! Without much sleep and travelling throughout the night, we finally made it to Tokyo, Japan! We can’t believe that we are here! With the rain pouring down, our first day can only be described as… unexpected. But wow, let’s get this Japan series going!

  1. I vividly remember the first time we went to Japan, and specifically the moment it hit me that we were actually there. It was my (Brandon) number one country I wanted to visit since I was a teen.
We had rented an AirBnB located in a pretty residential Tokyo neighborhood (owned by Kimiko Glenn from Orange Is the New Black- so random). We entered a local grocery store, and the absolutely incredible selection of amazing looking Japanese foods just stopped me in my tracks. Legitimately almost shed a tear!

Almost 50 countries in, and still one of my favorite countries in the world! ❤

    Enjoy, guys!

  2. I’ve been so looking forward to your trip to Japan.
I think you’ve had your fair share of rain now guys 😳😅
Roll on the next vlog 😎👍👍

  3. there's a lot of tax free shops there. spend 5,000yen and up then opt for a tax refund. just show your passport to the cashier.

  4. Bummer about the rain guys! I hope the weather improves for you soon! I've only spent a few hours in the Tokyo airport on a transfer, but it was the best airport food of my life! Can't wait to go back. Dylan, make sure to get a Sapporo beer from a vending machine! That beats hot coffee I think 😉

  5. Hi lovely couple Adriana& Dylan, welcome back to Hanoi again even in very short time! Comming back for sometime, missing you guys. Nice to see you enjoy Japan😎

  6. try the egg sandwiches in 711… they are delicious… but the best for me is from Family Mart… and the hot milk tea from the warm freezer thingy…

  7. I have been SO excited about you going to Japan and now you’re there!!! Thanks a million for living my dream and sharing it in such a interesting, beautiful, and joyful way ❤❤❤

  8. oh yeah, JAPAN – it's yours, take it away A&D! so many great content can be made especially in Tokyo itself, never get bored of it. love the energetic street life, food, fashion, cool people & hairstyles – i'm all for it! 💚💙💛 🧡

  9. japan beautiful country to travel ! i remember my 1st trip to tokyo and i got amazed my the metro and got lost myself

  10. I stayed in. in that hotel in August 2019 ,Hot and humid then, up-market area but the metro makes it so easy to get around and Then Tokyo and that hotel was not expensive, the room was tiny but I was on my own and really enjoyed my stay, Love Japan the Quality of everything is on another level.

  11. Try to spend a night at Onsen/Ryokan hotels with full board, enjoy in room/in house Japanese meals and natural onsen, a must experience that you can't miss without leaving Japan.

  12. Just discovered your channel and you both are so joyful! Vietnam and Japan are two of my top places I’ve visited so amazing I’ve come across your video on then both 😅 safe travels!

  13. Is this REALLY the cheapest way??? Wasting hard earned points on luxury in Bangkok where you could have saved it for Japan as it is more expensive in Japan. Also all the time and money in Hanoi….really is it cheaper? Time is money after all!

  14. As always such a joy to watch!!! You can literally feel your excitement and pure joy in your voices 😊 thank you for taking me on your wonderful journey ❤😊❤
    ❤Annie

  15. Why rain always hunt you guys??? 😅😅😅

I am thinking when you get back here in Philippines this dry season rain will still follows you. 😂😂😂

  16. Really enjoying all your videos and travel adventures! The last time we were in Tokyo around this time, we visited the Azalea Festival at the Nezu Shrine right in the heart of Tokyo and within an easy walk from the Subway station. If you enjoy Spring blooms, this small garden packs quite a punch! Of course if you have time, the Ashikaga flower park has the most amazing Wisteria blooms probably on this planet. It is a day trip outside Tokyo but we think it is worth the effort. In any case, enjoy Japan guys!

  17. Newydd wrando arna chdi yn siarad hefo Aled Hughes ar Radio Cymru. Wedi sybsgreibio! Pob lwc i chi yn Ewrop 👌

  18. Looking forward to Japan. Have visited numerous times and traveled throughout the country. Train travel is always a highlight. Get draft beer with foam!

  19. Did you ever try using "hands-free" luggage services? So, you can like pay a service at the airport and they can send your luggage to your hotel on the same day. I'm gonna use it Kyoto and Hakone later this year.. It's a pain to haul your luggage around sometimes.

  20. Oh my god I visited the same bahn mi stall as you both in Hanoi a few months ago! it was so good a bought 10 bahn mi’s back to Singapore 😂😂
