Watching this video has changed my mind about retiring in Turkey. Portugal would be first choice now.
Hello Sir ? since you're a landlord how much is your 2bdr 2bath apts want to get an accurate pricing want to live in Portugal in 2 yrs
I really enjoyed Portugal when I visited, Porto is absolutely beautiful! Algarve and Lisbon is nice also. can't wait to go back!
After ruining America, Americans are moving eslewhere …
Trading crypto is one of the lucrative business now, imagine investing $2000 and get $15000 In less than 2weeks.
Does he rent the apartments long term or short term air b &b
As a native Portuguese I totally understand your pain learning the language
Thank you for bringing this video, I retired at 53 thanks to my husband . It wouldn't have been possible without his company stock plan because it far exceeded the 401k we both have. He is six years older than me and was sick of the day to day grind but we had no clue if our savings and investments would be sufficient, we finally went to a financial management meeting and we make all decisions for a profitable Investment and prepared a plan for our early retirement. We should have done this years ago but never considered that we might ever have enough to retire early and I thank God and my husband for the ability to do investment . We are now financially stable with everything paid for and we have a good health insurance ! Don't wait time is something we have in short supply and no amount of money will buy you more., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life 🙏🙏🙏
Great interview! Tough for me to decide where to live in the Algarve. 450,000 people across 100 miles of coastline? Where is the density and wealth the most?
It's annoying that they don't speak English????
You living in Portugal, you should learn they language.the American arrogance is still there.
I have only been to Funchal as part of a cruise and could already tell Portugal would be the country to retire to outside of America; like the gentleman being interviewed–by a younger Jason Balboa here!!–I am also an immigrant in America and can 'think out of a box' as this guy has done. America is falling apart in front of my eyes and I say that with great sadness! Think out of the box, everyone!
Beware of US culture ruining your country with greed and selfishness!
I have been relocating to Portugal; there seems to be a lot of recent negative press about being an Expat from the USA, mainly from California, where I live. Also, I don't think Portugal allows the Golden Visa Program due to the influx of ex-pats. So my question is, has the window of opportunity closed to relocate, or do I still have time? Please inform.
Nice views. But no museums?! Portugal has the oldest boarder in the world, full and rich history, oldest alliance in the world with England and the "Queen" never been broken! GG anyway.
The interviewer looks like Jason Mamoas little brother
Leave me alone, Musk.
I have Americans
who need food and
justice. Not Portugese.
I'm trying to convince my husband to leave Germany for Portugal, I just love peoples, the beach and how traffic flows, the weather
We met a lots of German in Portugal that are happy to move over there
Portugal does not have much history????? Please do your homework
This guy talks about “this company and that company and they were bought out and he was in transportation? This guy is a very good liar 🤥 he doesn’t get his story straight, this guy is a good BS artist.
Any American who want to emigrate in France 🇫🇷 contact me I can help with the process, language etc.
I agree with his opinions about each of the countries and reasons for not moving to them, then choosing Portugal. My list, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.
This retiree and I are looking for the same things.
Loved listening to this gentleman. He is a wise man.
Sounds good except transportation system is lacking. Too much dependecy on the car.
This is something I don't like. Wealthy people come into the country, buy property and then the rents around the city skyrocket.
My Great, Great , Great Parents where from Portugal…. They owned a vineyard and a Casa De Moneda…. I strongly believe one day yes, I will go and visit and just might move there.😁
The best way to learn a language in every country is to talk or relate with people from that country, very simple 😉
7yrs ago I looked into relocating to Porto, Portugal…. A few years later I changed my mind and in recent months it’s become a possibility again. I retired early (2 1/2yrs ago) and after watching this video I’m ready!!
LOVED the opening scene and music!!
This guy lost me when he said he was annoyed when people can’t speak English. How unbelievably arrogant! You are in THEIR country! If you can’t understand, that is a you problem. Perhaps it was a matter of poor word choice but that comment really rubbed me the wrong way!
I have to laugh at you talking about the Portuguese language! I’m retired in Greece and I’m still struggling with some of the same differences. Greek also has gender ( a table is masculine but a chair is feminine). I find the grammar to be the most difficult. Yet, even with my rotten grammar, I can make myself understood and the Greek people are so happy when foreigners try. I’ve had shopkeepers throw their arms around me and we both laughed together! Greeks are very proud to tell me how difficult their language is. Ah, Americans don’t understand how much living abroad is an education, a very rich education. Perhaps if more Americans tried living in other countries, they might have more tolerance for the immigrants & refugees who go there for a better way of life.
Wonderful video-I’m thinking of retiring to Portugal so this information is perfect. Thanks for sharing. From piano player new friend in UK ❤️🎹
This was a really excellent and informative interview. Great questions and responses. Thank you so much to both of you.
How are you planning to integrate into the community without a shared language and history? How are you planning to contribute to your new neighbors.
Great information.
How taxation work there.
Are u a kind of citizen of two countries
USA and Portugal?
How much average cost of one bedroom apartment?
Having lived in Spain (Cantabria) and traveled throughout all Europe…indeed, Algarve was my favorite for all the reasons mentioned here. The issue is residency. Not all people bring loads of cash. Since a non EU person can only stay 90 days for every 180 days (if I recall correctly). I have met people who stay as nearly permanent residents and have no problems ongoing daily. I have never heard of a US person being deported for staying too long….
How many times where you forced to take the jab
Thanks
It’s so misleading the way he says “it’s not like that in the USA” as if California and Colorado are the USA. I live in a small town in the USA not far from the beach, cost of living is great, I can chit chat with my doctor for more than 15 minutes and the food is greater than Portugal. Lots of nice people in USA at least where I live. No traffic at ALL times, gulf breezes and I love it. USA is a huge country and no need to move to somewhere just because the USA large cities are not for you. Insane logic but to each their own. 🤦🏻♀️ But hey USA folks go on and move to Europe so it’s less crowded in Cali and Colorado LOL
Simple food in Portugal🤣🤣🤣
Mexican and Greek food… I recommend Mexico and Greece!!!
In Portugal, they don't speak English!!! "But is not their fault" 🤣🤣🤣 is this comedy??? "Dealing with the tourists"… You are not a tourist!!! You are an immigrant.
There is posh and then… there are pompous… and you don't know the difference!!! Lucky for you, the Portuguese in Algarve don't know it either!!! don't go to Lisbon or you gonna find yourself lost.
Excellent…great questions and terrific answers! What a nice gentlemen. You do spend a lot more time cleaning and ‘looking after’ things when you have too much stuff!
Interviewee seemed nervous when discussing his personal job and history. Scratching by the eye, etc. I don’t understand the point of living in Portugal only to complain about the quality of Greek food. Go to Greece. You’re closer to it than the Near-West Coast of the USA.
the profit in Ms Maureen investment plan shows how selfless and expertise she is, I make 90% profit of every investment I made. All thanks to my colleague who introduced me to her platform.
