2 Day Cherry Blossom Trip on Japan’s Overnight First-Class Capsule Bus 🌸| Tokyo – Nara 🇯🇵
Today, I’m riding Japan’s sought after overnight buses, the Dream Sleeper, from Shinjuku in Tokyo to Nara.
With only 11 seats in total, this feels less like a bus and more like a private room on wheels.
After taking off your shoes before boarding, you settle into a surprisingly comfortable space equipped with a reclining seat, personal lighting, and even an air purifier for a 9-hour, 600-kilometer overnight journey.
After arriving, it’s time to explore Nara during cherry blossom season.
From Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Mount Wakakusa to Todaiji Temple, and of course the famous deer of Nara Park, this trip had everything.
Though when it came to the deer showdown… let’s just say they were completely in charge.

crazy how nara is full of western tourists nowadays. when I went there 10 years ago most tourists were asian, only few westerners.
Thank you for taking us along to see the beautiful Cherry Blossoms and the Deer of Nara. I live in Illinois in the US and in my state we have between 640,000 and 750,000 Whitetail Deer roaming around. They mostly stay in the woods and forests but also like to come into your yard to eat flowers, birdseed, etc. My little Terrier used to love to bark at them and make them run away. Cheers.
Not surprised at the deer reaction to the crackers. I went to deer park near Toronto one time and when I grabbed thing of feed, they swarmed me and one even nosed me in my bum! I was like “Madame, PLEASE! At LEAST buy me dinner first!”
Beautiful video! Wish the US had luxury sleeper busses. Japan is great at transporting people. So much better than driving all the time
