at Meiji Jingu Shrine the omikuji or fortune is not actually a fortune. It's a poem as you noticed. It is called a waka poem. The Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken wrote thousands of waka poems so that is part of the reason.
Other shrines have the more common fortune slips. If you get a good fortune you can take it home with you but if you get a bad one, you can tie it to the designated spot and leave the bad luck behind. Some have ones where you just pick a slip from a container rather than shaking and pulling the number. Others have some in the shape of a fish, for example and you choose one.

Native Japanese here – actually nobody cares if you eat/drink while you are walking, as long as you aren't making a mess. That's just a myth somehow got spread widely among foreign tourists. We even have an expression called "Tabearuki" which literally means eat and walk.

Oh heck no! I was addicted to candy covered strawberries and grapes they are delicious!!! Also the gummy peach candy were also my favorite the sour sweet ones you can find that anywhere I do agree the crepes were so so. Please tell me you visited all the convenience stores and tried all their goodie’s especially the egg salad sandwiches from 7-11 with their crispy juicy spicy chicken patty if you didn’t you need to go back to Japan. Every time I go to Japan first thing I do is hit up 7-11, Family Mart and Lawsons.

Also, the fact that you weren't impressed with the 10 yen cheese pancake makes me respect your opinions even more because I also found those to be bland and not that great, whereas every other youtuber acts like they are so amazing.

The hotel really in a great placement, the metro station just minutes , in heart of shibuya but it’s quite expensive , I experienced it it still like a dream 😍😍😍

that peach gummy you said that has a seal looking thing around it tastes a lot better if you remove that clear outside skin looking thing on it. I used to not like it until I figured out if I pop it in my mouth and wet it a little I can easily remove that wrap around it and eat just the gummy.
