2 Days on Japan’s TINIEST Snow Sleeper Train | Sunrise Express 🇯🇵
Today, we board Japan’s smallest sleeper room on the legendary Sunrise Express, traveling through the heart of winter Japan.
This round-trip journey takes us from Tokyo to Izumo and back, covering nearly 1,900 km in about 24 hours, all aboard Japan’s last daily overnight sleeper train.
Along the way, we experience snowy landscapes, bento dinners, station sushi, strange winter drinks, sleepless nights, and a quiet pilgrimage to Izumo Taisha, one of Japan’s most sacred shrines.
Upper berth vs lower berth, snow vs no snow, comfort vs shoulder pain — everything is tested on this winter ritual. This is not just a train ride. It’s a yearly tradition.

You make Japan look so beautiful. I hope to visit soon and see the beauty for myself! Thank you solo solo fetus. Lol I still remember your baby picture like it was yesterday.

Out of all the trains I've seen on this channel, the Sunrise Express is my favorite. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. I love the colors and shape of the train.
I understand you, about the non-existent sleeper trains in Japan's far north.
Take the Hayabusa to Hakotate, then take the regional train to Sapporo.
I then took the regional train to Wakkanai, with a lot of snow.
yes, these pictures, this landscape is great to look at.
I like winter in Japan.
It's just that my picture quality is so much worse than your good videos.
more of that please.
Pigeon got in for free
RIP BIRD'S 😢 from Greece
A tradition at this point!!🎉😊 What Japanese trains do you still want to ride? What haven't you tried that is still on your wishlist?
One of the things I love most about your videos is the views out of the train on nighttime scenes — for some reason the look of buildings and yards and homes and depots lit in the night just makes me feel so cozy — you hit the nail on the head when you described it like falling asleep in the back of your parent’s car! I remember trips across Europe in my parent’s Fiat station wagon with the lights of the Autobahn flitting by overhead — so evocative!
It looks pretty cold, please take care of yourself!!!
Hi Solo! As someone who grew up in a cold climate….pleeeeeease get some winter shoes/boots. ❤️ Best wishes from a big fan in the U.S.
A self heating meal? How does that work??
❤
Japanese are fascinated by the strangest things.
Ugh! What a nightmare
I love how the wine container has a wine cup on the top. I have small sake bottles with sake cups that fit over the top, it that is the first wine container I had seen like that.
This train should be your channel mascot.
Thank you Solo Solo San for another amazing video. Greetings from Southern California 😊
Fabulous, Thanks for sharing.I also love sleeper trains. Your sushi looks so good. Greetings From San Diego.🌴
26:43 hehehe love your phone screen 😂 great video as always!

Nomas porque sé que eres japones, si no, pesaría que eres mexicano, tienes el mismo sentido del humor. Me río de tus ocurrencias. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
