That is the same, even if you are in busy Kyoto or Tokyo. In this video, I introduce 13 places that you can still find a peace and I felt great being there.

Thanks for this video! I am from the US, and I am happy I will be able to visit some places this year.
Thank you for watching! I only put the places I've been recently, but there are a lot more places in Japan. Please let me know your favorite spots you recommend in 2026! 🙂
Ken San, please review Lake Towada and the area surrounding. Thank you
Some really great suggestions here Kengo-San! I arrive in just under ten weeks and will be visiting quite a few of the places on your list.
Two more favourites for me, Yamadera Temple in Yamagata is beautiful, despite the 1000 steps up the mountainside, and Matsushima Bay is always somewhere I would try to visit if near Sendai.
This trip is more focussed on the central and southern prefectures so sadly I won't be visiting them this time.
Thank you for your video Kenchan! I’m coming to Japan for the second time in a couple of months and I’ll be visiting a few of the places on your list. I only have two weeks so it’s very difficult to decide lol. But since I’m flying in and out of Tokyo of course I will be visiting there, but also Nagoya and Kyoto. Also spending time on Kyushu in Fukuoka and Nagasaki. Very excited about all of the places. I really appreciate your videos which often include more “ off the beaten track” destinations. Japan is certainly the kind of place where there are surprises and beautiful things all around.
Very informative video! I visited Hasedera Temple in southern Nara prefecture and it was my favorite spot for hydrangeas during hydrangea season!
