Rating sando from cheap to expensive in Japan 🇯🇵
rating sendo from cheap to expensive in Japan. Of course, for the cheapest one, I went to 7-Eleven and I bought a chicken one for $2.70. It’s very simple, but hits the spot. The breaded chicken cutlet were good, but I wish they added a little bit more cabbage. Then I went to the viral spot, Agesan. They specialize in fried sandwiches. I got the beef short rib yakiniku for $620. It came with a runny egg on top and it was so messy to eat, but it was so tasty. I love the barbecue sauce marinade and the bread was so crispy. Next, I went to Chside and I got an omelette sando. It cost $19. The omelette was perfectly cooked. It was so moist. And the best part is it was cheesy inside. With Sriracha, it’s even better. Now, the most expensive one left me broke. I went to Grill Bun and I got a Wagyu sando. It’s so cool because they make it in front of you. They’re going to toast the bread, add a little sauce, and put the breaded Wagyu inside. This was hands down the best thing I’ve ever ate in Japan. The Wagyu was really tender and it was melting in my mouth while the outside was crunchy. It was the perfect combo. It cost $50 though, so I would do this for special occasion, but honestly, it was so worth

Here’s a quick breakdown of sandwiches in Japan from cheap to more expensive, with a very practical, traveler-friendly feel:
Convenience store sandwiches (コンビニ, e.g., 7-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart) – These are your go-to grab-and-go options, usually around 150–400 JPY (≈1.50–3.50 CAD). Think egg salad, ham & cheese, or fruit sandwiches—they’re surprisingly tasty and super fresh.
Supermarket sandwiches – Often a bit bigger or more gourmet than convenience store ones, these usually cost 300–600 JPY (≈3–5 CAD). Great for picnic-style lunches.
Chain cafés / fast food sandwiches (like Mister Donut, Starbucks, or Doutor) – Expect 400–800 JPY (≈3.50–7 CAD). These include paninis, club sandwiches, or seasonal specialties.
Specialty sandwich shops / depachika (department store food halls) – Around 700–1,500 JPY (≈6–14 CAD). These often use high-quality ingredients, fancy breads, or regional specialties.
High-end or artisanal sandwiches (like those from boutique cafés in Tokyo or Osaka) – Can go 1,500–3,000 JPY (≈14–28 CAD) for a single sandwich, sometimes with wagyu beef, truffle, or luxurious seafood.
H. HiBaochi I love your videos
Was the last one smthing similar to wat le sserafim ate?
Yuummm ❤😊😮
That white bread is really off-putting.
19 dollars for an egg sandwich, is EXTORTION. We pay 2.50 for a egg sandwich with full fillings with full set of a salad. In Asia, the prices are ridiculous. And the people don't seem to understand that rather than promoting such stupidity, you have people promoting food tax, without realising the damage they are doing to many families out there. Those with kids especially. 19 dollars for an egg sandwich, I've never heard such ridiculous dining. It's not even a posh shop. I'd pay that are the Ritz not frigging abroad.
I do also feel like places like china, Thailand, even Cambodia where they also use the US dollar, those areas, they have such exploited prices in their foreigner prices, as locals have their standard country rates, -200% less than you pay, even in your own country, for Z-List entertainment, no where near the quality or standard of a say, economically better countries. Even we never exploit like that. It's insane. But 19 dollars for a 3 dollar sandwich, is JUST a pi$$~Take!
Wagyu😮
I'm sorry.. but all ive heard was "GET AN ASAIN WOMAN". I will complete this mission. You know give them some that can melt in their mouth 😮
