The dollar still goes a long way in Japan #japan #japantravel #travel

The entire country of Japan is basically on sale. The dollar is strong and the yen is weak right now and probably for the next year. Which means prices are ridiculously low. How low? Fivestar hotel rooms in Osaka as low as $90. Entire bags of Japan’s favorite candy. A dollar. Not one piece, the entire bag. This is the most popular face wash in Japan. It’s incredible. By the way, it’s less than $3. This would be 15 in America at least. All of this food from one of the most popular chains, $4. This is a dollar. And so is pretty much every other one. An entire katu and rice meal at a sitown restaurant, $5. Parking in the middle of Japan’s second largest city, 24 hours is $6. In New York or LA, this would be five or six times that amount. Used games, $30. In America, you’d probably be looking at $50. A full-blown meal at McDonald’s, $5. The whole meal. Not a happy meal. A whole meal. Popcorn at the movies, $4. Slippers, $2. This is from a real department store, not a 100 shop. Even packs of 24 Oreos are only a bit over a dollar. A bowl of ramen can be had for as little as $2. Or you can order a feast like this for you and your entire family tree for $40. Or one of Japan’s most famous kambi sandwiches, the tuna and egg, for a dollar. Follow me for a part [Music]

The weak yen will likely correct soon against the dollar as its not always positive for people being paid in yen especially those that wish to travel outside of Japan.

  1. Yen weakened against the Dollar. But the US is experiencing domestic inflation. Ultimately, it all comes down to perspective. The economic downturn is actually happening everywhere.
