You want to see how cheap food is here in Japan? Let me show you how much I can get for $5. By the way, all of these full-blown meals are under $5. I’m tempted by the candy section, but this is Lawson. I know what I want. Ooh, look at these. I’m actually surprised myself at how much $5 just got me. Let’s go one by one. To start, this massive limited edition Star Wars Coke. It’s giant. This whole pack of grilled guoza, which yes, you can heat up inside the kini. This seasonal pear ice cream bar. It is delicious. This is essentially just a bowl of coconut and it is amazing. Would recommend this one. A bonito flake rice ball. And last but not least, a small sweet treat of chocolate. Somehow all of this was just over $5. All of it. This is a full-blown meal. Next time we’ll go to a grocery store and see how far $10 will go. And I promise you, you will be stunned.
Well this was a Japan experience gone very right.
