this is how you’re going to not let your luggage space restrict you from doing more shopping in Japan and no I’m not going to tell you to buy an extra luggage in Japan or bring an extra one from home because you can literally ship everything you buy in Japan back to your home country for less than $50 just go to any Japan Post Office and buy a packing box for $2 pack everything you want to ship home in the box then go to the Japan Post website and pick your preferred shipping method i personally always go with semile because it’s the cheapest option and the parcel usually arrives in five weeks you’ll also need to list down all the items in the box with their approximate weight and value printing code will be provided once you’ve completed the form to be presented at the post office counter with your parcel let me know if you have any questions and like and follow for more Japan travel lifestyle and beauty tips

  1. We did this when we went to Japan last March at Narita airport. Just received our parcel yesterday (to Spain) and would do it again. It’s also a great idea to avoid paying for excess baggage.

  2. This would work for countries without excessive import and toll fees. 1kg parcel is 35$ usd in import fees in Norway…

  3. Won't this stop you from getting your taxes back when you're leaving the country?

    They changed the tax code for foriegners right? Soon you'll have to pay sales taxes up front, then you get them back when you leave right?

  4. This is quite smart, but do note you will need to pay VAT, sometimes you pay it on shipping, but most times you need to pay it on arrival in your home country, just good to know.

  5. May I check if one could ship old clothes and etc in these boxes while carrying only the shopping from Japan in their suitcase to go?
