reminded me of walking 2 hours from city towards seaside cars would go de way and come bacc while i wuz still half way i wuz having de real fun anyway lots of wind and sun
How true this is It's amazing i googled my way home and it was 31min walking and 30 min by train its safe to say walking always wins in Japan 20000 steps later😂
I’ve been to Japan once. We stayed in a hotel / spa that had a huge sunken tub. It was awesome walking outside, which was full of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately my wife and two kids got a fever two days into our week long trip and I had to spend that time taking care of them. It was so scary having a 1 year old with a like 100 degree temp and not being able to talk to people very well at the pharmacy.
We have supermarket just 4 blocks away from our office. They make a fuss over going there on foot and insist on driving. And then complain that they're too fat.
I walked from Fuji Station to Fujisan Bridge alone for 40mins, it was enjoyable because of the weather and walkable passageway. But in Malaysia, i will get high fever and migraine after walking the same distances. Better walk in the gym or mall hahaha.

Germans be like 40 minutes?
Thats barely moving
40 mins would probably be a 3-4 km walk. That's not far to be honest. If the climate is pleasant we can walk

A 40 minute walk each way is still a long time if you've got other stuff to do that day.

This is why Japanese people and Germans get along well.

They’re speaking English but I’m an American so “only a 40 min walk” sounds foreign.
Even 4 minutes walk not a "just" in Malaysia.
40 minutes walk as good as a balik kampung commute.
