The horse archery of the Aoi Festival:Amazing samurai. Shimogamo Shrine, world cultural heritage

The Yabusame ritual of the Aoi Festival was held at Shimogamo Shrine, a World Heritage Site in Kyoto, Japan. Yabusame is a traditional Japanese horseback archery technique.

After Shimogamo Shrine, we visited the Kamogawa Delta, a tourist attraction famous for its Kameyadori stepping stones.

Shimogamo Shrine is also famous as the birthplace of mitarashi dango, so we also visited the teahouse where mitarashi dango originated.
