This Town Fought the Biggest Tsunami in Japan
📍 Fukko no Yu, Ōfunato – Sanriku Coast, Japan 🇯🇵
This peaceful hot spring—“Fukko no Yu” or The Bath of Recovery—was built after the 2011 tsunami to symbolize the town’s resilience.
Ōfunato has faced so much… from one of the strongest tsunamis in Japan’s history to a massive wildfire just this year.
And yet, it still holds onto moments like this.
This photo means more than just the view, but about everything behind it.
