  1. The Fukuoka II video was the one that made me start admiring the “great abs” of every blanket I find. I can’t stop it. Every time I see a blanket like that, I have to compliment them. It’s all your fault, STJ.

  2. Well, that was a strange bed on Fukuoka II. The comforter had well-developed abs (unlike you), but the mattress was all fish-scales.

  3. The look back helped us see the beginnings of your personal style and how you’ve developed your art over time… Now your filmmaking technique is even more smooth, and your humor is right there below the surface, always ready to bubble up. You’ve trained us over the years to watch for your assessment of the bedding and to crave your !! review of your favorite dishes…and to hope you get some good curry somewhere along the way on every voyage. Thank you for creating this wonderful content for us over these years. It involves a lot of planning and work, and we notice and appreciate it.

  4. ❤❤ I like them because I've never seen this video, I've only been a member a little over a year ago. Hello Mr, Solo Travel. Looking forward to these look back videos.

  5. for those of you who are curious about the condition & the name of the three ferries now. Here is some information regarding those 3 ferry :

  6. Great video. After reading a comment, thankfully all of those Ferry are still operating today on another company in another country. I hope some older Ferry from Japanese Ferry company can be sold in another country rather than scrapped it early.

  7. FYI: When these ferries are retired and have reached the end of their serviceable life. Many are sold for scrap.. however, Gothong lines in the Philippines buys ALL of their ships from Japanese ferry operators. They are retrofitted for Cargo and extra high density passenger services. They will install bunk beds on open deck areas. And double the capacity of the cabins by adding beds to the walls that pull out. 4360 passengers on the former JAPANESE ferry boat renamed “Dona Paz” (our lady of peace) DROWNED when it struck a tanker ship full of gasoline. Only 5 passengers were rescued! So many converted JAPANESE ships have been lost in the Philippines due to almost criminal negligence by the shipping companies that are Chinese owned. Superferry ships are notorious for sinking! Hull thining thus allowing floating logs to Pierce the hull and allow rapid sinking. YouTube has many stories about this.

  8. Imagine two of the people waving with light sticks suddenly breaking out into a lightsabre duel. 🤺

  9. 💛💛💛
I liked revisiting! Some of the humor and sights are still in my memory! Lots of fun! Thank you!

  10. All together now…oh wait…what there's no🎵🌻🌻🎶at the start so has the song been retired along with the ferry. 🤣Alas no as it is played at the end and becomes an 'ear worm' as you disembark the ferry to continue on your journey back on land! 🌻🌻

  11. Thank you SJT for sharing your nostalgic trip 🤗 I have often rewatched your videos because of the warmth and charm of these vessels. Happy journeys SJT 👍❤️😎
