Uh… If you go to Japan, are not Japanese, and you speak any Japanese at all, you will hear comments constantly. You have no idea of the level of xenophobic BS I was able to translate, I can only imagine what I wasn't able to understand. I'm not even a weeb, I was committing the crime of being "white in public".
I wish weeks would stay in their basement. Iβve been so embarrassed having to deal with them in Japanβ¦. And damn it Iβm a white guy with three generations in Japan. We are trying to escape this western BS!
Weebs/anime fans are almost always the weird antisocial, awkward people who were bullied in school and they never seem to grow up. Itβs good to know theyβre universally disliked π

I never in my life saw more weebs than when I was in Japan.
I cannot stand weebs.
We all see the weebs as weird.
Good to know everybody thinks weebs are weirdos

Being an otaku isnβt seen positively either

weebing is downright assault from this angle. i am so sorry.
It's okay to learn Japanese.
It's okay to like anime.
It's okay to cosplay, and like J-Pop.
It's not okay to disrupt people's lives.
That's why when I call someone a weeb or otaku, it's an insult. Not a compliment
In my experience the people I talked to in Japan got really excited when meeting foreigners that really love Japanese culture.
