Solo Travel Japan: Packing, Flying Zipair’s Basic Business Class, Tocho, Omoide Yokocho 2024

I just got in Tokyo, Japan. Holy shit, it’s hot outside here. It’s 92°F and incredibly humid.

I rarely come here because the airfare is so expensive. Six months ago, I found a cheap roundtrip for $1,838. A nonstop Business Class fare on Zipair.

Now, Business Class typically comes with complimentary perks such as lounge access, fast track, etc. It was not the case with Zipair, I had to pay for that. Even a bottle of water is not complimentary.

For the record, it wasn’t too bad. It was new, it was clean, and it was comfortable.

I did the following:

Number 1, Zipair Flight 23, Los Angeles to Tokyo. It is not like the other Business Class.

Number 2, Tokyo City Hall. It is the tallest city hall in the world with an observation deck on the 45th floor. It has a fantastic view of Tokyo and it’s free.

Number 3, Omoide Yokocho.

It originated as a black-market area after World War II and there are narrow alleys with shops selling Japanese snacks and cheap swills.
