we flew across the world to come to this Disney park but in this video we’re taking you along with us for the 20-hour flight and for a little exploration of Tokyo there she is roll the tap roll the tape okay crew we finally landed in New York I was supposed to film this morning cuz I got to the airport around 4:30 uh to MCO and honestly I was so exhausted I forgot so we’re finally here for our layover um but let’s talk about what that looks like I left MCO this morning around 6:00 and I’ve made it to Newark which is New Jersey we’re in New Jersey it only took 2 and 1/2 hours which was actually not bad um but we’re about to get in for the Long Haul flight now I do have a layover that’s about an hour and a half luckily my gates are right next to each other I’m flying United um and I’m just going to hang out I’ve already bought some expensive snacks even though they are going to feed us on the plane because I think snacks taste better in the airport I just do my next flight is about 14 hours and 20 minutes so I’m going to settle down get sorted and there’s a lot of things that you need for Longs I think but one of them is compression socks so I just figured we’ start talking now are going to be really help going to help with blood flow especially because we need to try to walk while around the fight or move around as much as you can but sometimes you cannot you just don’t want to is going to help with circulation and blood flow kind of look like granny socks but you need them I’m settled I’m at 49 L and just to kind of give you an idea this is about how much light room I have and I I’m only 56 so I’m not like super tall but I’m also not super short um I did go ahead and put up one of my my footling which is one of my favorite things for Long Haul flights it was super cheap this one was only I think $15 or $20 and it holds your feet up and it changes the game I did bring my own pillow and my own blanket um they provided both on this flight but I’m very p and I know what I like so it just made sense for me to bring my own we’re about to take off and they went ahead and gave us our disembarkment card and our customs declaration so that way we can fill this out while we’re flying and then not have to worry about it once we get there which is quite a nice but I I don’t have a pen but you can do this all online on the visit Japan website which we can link in the description and I’m able to fill this all out on my phone rather than having to do it um on the paper which I really really like and you can do it any point before your trip starts um so it’s just really easy to sit here and do [Music] that okay we’ve been in the air for about an hour and a half and it’s time for dinner even though it’s mid day it’s dinner cuz I’m going to sleep it’s breakfast this is what I got it does not look like the most appetizing but it’s smells amazing it’s barbecue chicken with mac and cheese and then what looks like a little fennel salad you get a roll and then you also get a chocolate chip mint cookie little cake I got a Sprite drink because trying to go to sleep after this and I didn’t want Coke and honestly smells really good so let’s try it it’s airplane food you know what it’s hot and I didn’t have to make it so good [Music] night okay two hours left I just I’m also scared to talk cuz it’s so [Music] quiet okay we’re on to breakfast this is French toast C fruit and coffee I hope it’s magic and Roman Holiday [Music] hello I am at the Tokyo Hana airport uh because ‘s here so I’ve been in Tokyo for about 5 days already visiting some friends I came a little early to do so and I’m so excited because now the Disney portion begins and I get to see we landed I made it we landed we are together now yeah I landed 5 days ago but they don’t I’ve just been in the a this the first time we’ve talked about it though I’ve just been in the airport this whole time she’s just waiting on me it was crazy we couldn’t get a flight together she just came 5 days early in the airport yeah and I went to custom that’s not true I’ve done a lot she’s she didn’t stay in the airport days I don’t think they thought you stay in the airport I mean they might have got it I’m pretty sure they s in the comments is true sound off in the comments if you thought she was here for 5 days not leaving because you know what if you did think that I’m so sorry like this is me jumping to conclusions I got to Tokyo and like kind of lost myself there so but we went through customs and it was actually super super simple I did go ahead and fill out the form on my phone rather than the papers they gave us on the plane well was really easy yeah I got stressed out by the fact that I had to take a picture of my passport and every time I was doing it I was doing on my computer oh no I did it on my phone sitting on the plane so my passport was there it was super simple and then it has a QR code and so every time I had to talk to anyone they just scan the QR code and it was done and handled and they just needed that and my passport I walked right through the paper forms are super easy too um I did one of my paper forms on the plane that the flight attendants gave me was my Customs form and I did my Immigration Form they just gave me a form it took me like 26 seconds to F out it’s not long either way yeah you need to have your address of where you’re staying prepared that’s probably the hardest thing to have like ready um so like that’s something to have ready for the both of those forms but otherwise super simple everyone’s super nice um and just from an English perspective in the airport um most of those folks that are helping you through Immigration and Customs are going to speak English enough to be able to answer any questions you have or anything like that so um super easy I will say too I didn’t have to ask any questions I didn’t say anything and I’m not like well versed in customs having QR code they didn’t need to talk to me all right I talk to a lot of people so maybe the QR code is way easier no I don’t know if it was that but I literally was like hand shaking cuz I’ve never done this alone before and they just scanned it and we’re like go so it was easy both were easy though both are good both are good so either way you’re fine and then when you exit Customs at can airport there are a couple airports you could fly into but ha is a really big one coming from the United States um you exit directly into the arrivals hall there’s a coffee shop you’re really really close to some food locations and you can also buy tickets for the trains if that’s how you’re going to head into Tokyo or you can head follow signs for buses and taxis and things like that I have a big luggage so we’re doing tax we are doing tax [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey we’ve made it to our hotel it is the Shon Grand Bay Hotel um we are on Tokyo Disney property hello and welcome to a cultural Japanese lesson ly who’s been here for 5 days and knows a couple of things yeah one you can drink while walking but you should not eat W walk game two good luck finding a trash can they’re very very rare and difficult to find so if you have trash pop into your bag Chariot with you or throw it away where you get the items that’s going to be a good bet as well um I’m going to go find trash bag for this so I’ll see you guys in 3 or 4 days and I’m going to explore the little Disney Store that they have so this is called the Disney Fantasy and again this is not a disney-owned hotel but is on Disney property so they have all the fun stuff so I know we’re going to be seeing a lot of Disney this week but I just wanted to pop in and kind of look around and see the differences so lots of fun snacks and lots of Mickey shetes snacks which I’m super excited about because I feel like we all get so excited about like Mickey shaped waffles like they saves better in Mickey shaped but there’s not as much in the US Parks um as compared to the Tokyo Park in particular okay now on to the merchandise side of things this is why I checked a bag was just for all of this goodies I’m so excited and they already have so much good Tokyo Disney Resort merch and they already have ears oh and the burger and the Baymax and the the bows and oh y’all oh my goodness I think I’m having a panic I’m so excited now even though I checked it online I did stop by the check-in desk here at the front lobby to make sure I could get physical check-in Keys check-in time at this H shitin was at 3:00 p.m. so our room is ready now it’s a little after 3: and we are headed upstairs now Emma her brain thinks it’s 2: a.m. so we’re going to see how long she lasts and we’re headed up to our room is ready I was able to check in online uh with the marot bom app Emma her car got chase this is why you want to make sure you set up travel alerts with your bank but some banks ask you not to including Chase Bank and and here we are they’ve been declining her card anyway so she’s on the phone with Jason Bank all right so we made it into our hotel room and here are the updates that have occurred we watched someone get married we did there was let’s show you the view actually so we are at an um a Disney hotel that is on property that is not owned by Disney um the Sheran Grand Bay hotel as you can see the bay is right there right outside of our room we’re looking at it it’s so cool there’s also two different chapels one of which there’s actively the bride just processed out yeah there’s weddings happening at both we watched one of them um that’s I watched one bride go in and one come out Okay so we’ve seen all the brides so I mean pretty much like I’m involved in their lives at this point well Emma was doing that I was using the bathroom and I cannot figure out how to flush the toilet that’s very intimate that you shared that I just feel like they should know the Japanese toilets are a big thing okay they are a big thing I just don’t I hope this is like not a reoccurring problem I’ve been here for 5 days this is the first toilet I haven’t been able to flush this is the room we’ve got two double beds in here sorry I didn’t know we were doing this as well as a twin bed um because our room is marked for three so there are three beds in here um that is kind of how you’ll see Tokyo hotels do like when you book you will book the number of beds the number of people um so yeah three beds including just a fun little side twin bed as a little bonus for fun oh my gosh for fun it I think it’s fun I also think it’s fun that’s where Emma will be sleeping I’ll be on both of these I’m going to lay I’m going to lay across we sh together I heard that it’s actually good for your back if you leave the middle of your body complet unsupported we’re looking at our view of Tokyo Disney Tokyo Disney C Tokyo Disneyland we can see both we can see Fantasy Springs which is why we’re here what are you most excited for cuz Fantasy Springs has some big stuff that people have been begging for for years I think I’m really excited for the entire Peter Pan area fantasy spr is going to go crazy I’m so excited bi I literally am so excited to see you ride Tinker Bell’s bugies so we’re really excited for Fantasy Springs we are here for the media event so we will get a preview we’ll show you guys inside we will of course have a full Fantasy Springs video coming to the channel as well as perfect days for both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney C Emma’s going to attempt a ride challenge cuz you know how she is we got to do it if you’re here you got to do it if you’re here you got to do it so we’re going to do that as well we’ll be bringing you a full overview of all the cool hotels we stay in including a preview of the Fantasy Springs Hotel including the Toy Story hotel which is almost impossible to get into and just recently opened we did get into it we will be staying a night we will be eating at the restaurant that you can only eat at if you are staying in the hotel and we will be bringing you a video of everything that we eat in Tokyo so lots of Tokyo coming to the channel over the next few weeks um thank you guys for following along we are so excited to be here let’s get a snack before we get on the train we have about an hour train ride yeah all right before we’re heading out we do have an hour train ride to get into the actual city um it’s going to be like 40 minutes to an hour to get into the city from Tokyo Disney just cuz it is right on the bay um but we are splitting snacking snacking this is this is this is an exciting little preview because this is not actually Disney food so it’s not going in our Tokyo Disney food video so only only if you’re watching this travel Vlog are you getting to see this oh you know what we have to do today go to a 7-Eleven I know I’ve been wanting to go so bad I’m so excited we’re going to go to town we’re going to Bayside Station so that way we can hop on the mon rail which I’m so excited about this is the Disney Resort line um and this right here is the Fantasy Springs Hotel yeah right we’re right next to it like this is it right here but Tokyo has really amazing public transportation and the way that you’re going to access it is probably with a sua card if you have an iPhone you can just add it to your wallet from your wallet super easy unload it from there if not it’s a little trickier I bought the welcome sua at the airport it is what I recommend doing has a 28 day window before it expires but there is a stop at Disney with Tokyo’s public transportation so we are going to head into the city yeah a couple of different trains yeah I have a physical sua card that you can get at the airport if they aren’t sold out welcome sua if not you can buy tickets at every station the sua is awesome cuz you can reload it here I go here she goes here she goes I don’t have any money on mine you’re kidding oh my gosh qu we both have been denied in two different ways right I like it well you know what this is a good way to show how you’re going to re it I this on purpose just like I had to show them how to call their Chase bank I’m going to load in my swea by putting it here yeah nice that’s then I’m going to put some stuff on it 2,000 Yen seems I only put 1,000 yen on mine you’ll probably be fine should I just do 1,000 then we can reload together sure 1,000 I also didn’t really like how she said probably I don’t know if you guys clocked that you said like you should probably be fine and I didn’t like love the probably part of it um but it’s okay now I touched the amount do I then just put the bill in here’s a Yen by the way or 1,000 yen 1,000 yen I also have a bunch of coins that looks like you did it yeah I’ve done this a few times I know you can’t tell you kind of I was going to say I don’t know I think it just felt like you weren’t sure all right we’re going to pretend that first part didn’t happen here we go baby watch her go watch her go all right and I’m going to pull up my Apple wallet it’s here here we go and a touch and I went through I think I did it question mark She’s through I made it through but okay and here we are there’s the Toy Story Hotel here’s the Toy Story Hotel Mickey windows [Music] we’re going to do this in the city okay so you you don’t worry this is those are called gacha Pond okay and they’re huge here I want to do it so bad they are literally you put coins in and you get little trinkets out and I got wait let me show you what I got let me show you what I got yeah this is what I got out of a gacha p how cute it’s a little kitty cat embroidery with an orange on her head I love this and she sits with my lenina Bell now I didn’t bring my Duffy for this trip because I know I’m going to buy another Duffy to bring home to his Duffy brother Duffy triplets so it’s a little bit of navigating with the trains your Google Maps will tell you what platform to go to so we’re platform two in this case only one train comes to the platform the biggest thing that’s going to be helpful as colors make sure you don’t get on like a rapid when you mean to get on a local but follow your Google Maps and these signs do alternate between English and Japanese characters okay made it our first train ride we did successfully and we got off at the right stop which I think is a huge win because we were not so sure my best effort I was not paying attention and was like now where do we get off and I was like well that’s inter well she never mentioned getting off and I thought we’re going to have to get off so I’m glad I was just going to ride that I’m glad I asked okay we made it and I think we where we’re going first and I think many people if you ever want to travel to Tokyo that gu he’s amazing I do think some people might see where we’re going first and think girls really and the answer is yes the answer is yes girls yes yes girls yes so immediately I found Uno which I mean we’re basically in Disney Springs like I really know my way around I don’t know there’s like a like a 12 store un here yeah oh I know you think I haven’t looked up merch you got to be kidding me oh you’re right I forgot what I was talking about yeah merch kind of makes the world go around no I think that my phone believes that we’re down there ah interesting and I don’t want to doubt you or Google Maps yeah but every time we’re like turning I’m subconsciously leading the way and I don’t know where we’re going no it’s fine we’re good okay we’re good I trust her Against All Odds folks she did it yes Disney Store we’re coming to the Disney Store this is the Disney flagship store there are tons of Disney Stores all throughout Tokyo but this is the flagship store and apparently I have heard rumors it is better to shop at the Disney Stores outside of the parks because of crowds now there’s going to be a lot more Duffy um and Friends merch specifically at Tokyo Disney C but a lot of the good Tokyo Disney merch can also be found outside of the parks with a lot smaller lines wow immediately I’m oh the baskets look they’ve got Mickeys in them not only do they have pling of Tokyo branded merch they have merch branded to the Tokyo at the store I’m in heaven I’m in heaven yeah some Curry popcorn they’ve got it cheese tomato bacon popcorn they’ve got it strawberry milk popcorn they’ve got it which actually does kind of foreshadow what our lives are going to look like soon a lot of Pop lots of pop stop look at the stationer it’s sticker collections I’m getting stickers okay I don’t know what stickers to get look how sweet the Baymax set is and a lion king set looks like the VHS tape that’s very good this is my plan actually that’s excellent yeah I just got a new phone so I got to get a new one anyways might as well do it here okay now we’re heading upstairs we’re trying not to spend too much time cuz we are about to do Disney for several days but I just could not resist they have a lot of very cute water bottles you typically need extra hey yeah what just happened get that camera out what just happened nothing tell me she just yawned she looked me in the eyes and she yawned I didn’t look her in the eyes no you didn’t but you did yawn and it is only 6:45 p.m. it is not time for us to get sleepy yet trying to hold on it’s 5:45 a.m. for Emma’s body we’re doing great and she’s been up for a long time don’t stop in your tracks I’ve stopped in my tracks little BX hair clips they also have Dumbo and ham those are very good I also love these I can’t St looking at this this is insane we have to go you keep saying that and then we’re still in here I’m ready okay we bought some things we bought our nails I got some stationary stickers we we kept it small now we don’t know what the plan is yeah we haven’t eaten no so we should probably eat yeah I also think we should go see shabuya scramble what is that it is the busiest intersection I think in the world is that just something you decided or is that true no it’s like a thing it’s like one of the things you see when you’re in Tokyo lead the way [Music] [Applause] [Music] we are in Shinjuku right now and we’re headed towards Shibuya these are pretty busy shopping sort of areas um as far as I can tell look at this look at this did you see the Mickey yeah I saw the Mickey we’re find we’re finding Disney everywhere um but we actually going to head we’re in Shinjuku right now we’re going to head next door to shabuya because we’re going to see shabuya scramble which is going to be pretty cool we’re going to find some food at some point and eat it um do some just do some toky exploring Emma’s getting sleepy you can see it in her eyes cuz they’re kind of glassed over tired better go now this is obviously kind of central Tokyo as you can probably tell by how exciting it is and busy and lights you know Emma is getting a strawberry matcha because she’s about to fall asleep and we’re in basically there’s a lot of malls hidden everywhere in Tokyo and we’re in one of them Emma’s talking about how she wishes we had public transportation good news the next stop is shabuya we knew it was but like we weren’t 100% sure to be honest do I have M my teeth I can’t see your teeth right now I’m scared to show you all right we found shabuya we’re not sure if this is shabuya scramble but it’s like the most people I’ve ever seen in my life in one place everybody’s video videoing so I think we’ found it feels like the spot who we’re in the scel hey we found a gacha place a this is cool that’s yours that is what I have um look did you see [Music] inside let’s go pick out some gotcha for [Music] you Emma is paralyzed by choice um we’ve been in here a while and at one point she did choose and then the coins we didn’t have were right and also she accidentally almost got a corn engagement ring oh I got the kiddy cat ah the all right and I got it’s so squishy what a distinguished gentleman oh that’s really nice that’s really nice we’re scared cuz we’re in a really touristy area shabuya is one of the most touristy neighborhoods in Tokyo and we will fall for a tourist trap just speaking of which this in no means is an experts guide to Tokyo my good this is the exact opposite this is just some girls having fun and learning yeah this is two girls who had one afternoon to evening before they began doing Tokyo Disney for work and wanted to bring you guys Along on a little mini Tokyo exploration I in no way recommend doing Tokyo in only a half day in fact I was here for 5 days and I don’t think that was nearly enough time to do Tokyo I’ve had a really amazing time doing tons of stuff over the last 5 days in Tokyo and my friends are living here for 3 months and they don’t think they’re going to have enough time in Tokyo so you know it’s an amazing city with a lot to do and you certainly can’t do it in an afternoon and an evening but something had to fight him as jet lag okay we’ve sat we finally found a place I’m thrilled we at Kinka sushi bar isaka we got hot towels to wipe our hands down this all restaurants you’ll get like not always this is nice usually it’s like paper yeah no this is like very nice okay two of the three things we ordered are here first we got some yaki udon to share which looks absolutely incredible and then because I just really wanted to try it we got wagu with sea urchin sea urchin we got wagu with SE urchin which I’m so excited about [Music] [Music] I think we got a winning play to Sushi however my biggest recommendation for my trip for sushi is to go to seiji Fish Market which is I think the oldest fish market in the world um if you go like between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. there are literally so many STS with the freshest fish ever amazing Sashimi amazing niri I’ll drop some videos in here absolutely spectacular less expensive than this WOW time really flies when you’re in Japan yeah when you’re having fun too yeah it say day four but we forgot to say by bye to you guys because we’re not saying bye because you’re watching all the Japan videos a lot more
