Super Potato (FULL TOUR) – Retro Gaming Heaven in Akihabara, Tokyo! | JAPANESE STORE TOURS

Are you a video game lover? Then this video is for you! スーパーポテト (Super Potato) is a world-famous retro gaming store and this is a FULL TOUR inside the main flagship store in Akihabara, Tokyo! There is one other store in Tokyo, located in Ikebukuro. A handful of others are in different cities like Osaka or Nagoya, etc. Super Potato opened up its own eBay website where you can order some of this merchandise.
The store has 3 floors, two of which are dedicated to selling games, consoles, and other things and one floor that is dedicated to some retro arcade machines and a dagashi 駄菓子 (retro Japanese snacks) shop.
What was your favorite section in the store? What was your favorite console or game back in the day? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. What did you enjoy about this video? What would you buy? Also, let me know what was your favorite console and game back in the day in the comments below! Thanks for watching~ <3
    For me:
NES – Super Mario Bros. 3
SNES – Final Fantasy 6 (3 in America)
    PS1 – Gran Turismo
    PS2 – GTA 3
    XBOX – Halo
    XBOX 360 – GTA 4
    Switch – Super Mario Wonder
PC – World of Warcraft (I don't play anymore, but I played for nearly 17 years since launch of vanilla)
But there are so many other amazing titles for all of those systems and PC to list here.

  2. You asked about systems and games
    NES dragon quest 3
    Gameboy final fantasy legend 2
    Snes final fantasy 6
    N64 perfect dark
    Ps1 suideken 2
Dreamcast sega marine fishing with the fishing rod controller
    PS2 katamari demacy
    GameCube I can't remember
    Gameboy advance Pokemon emerald
    NDS Castlevania portrait of ruin
    PS3 fallout new Vegas
    PSP Star Ocean 2
    Ps Vita senran kagura estival
    3ds animal crossing new leaf
Switch is still to new to know

  3. I kind of want the Link to the Past tote bag. Also, it was interesting to see so many Westerners there, as opposed to your neighborhood walks.

  4. I visited Super Potato in 2017. I tried the virtual boy for 5 minutes and still remember how blindingly red it was. I have no idea who could have played with that over an hour and not gotten blind from it.

  5. 😉 it isn't neko/inu count day, it's "I'm sorry" count day. Very interesting but those prices are ridiculous. I suppose the rent for that location is equally insane.

  6. I can get lost in this store just looking through all the games. I want to rebuild my PS One collection after it got stolen by a former friend.

  7. I grew up with Bomberman 64, Cruisin' USA and Super Mario 64. Good memories, those were my favorite N64 games. Oh and Donkey Kong Country on the gameboy.
